Well I don't feel like such a noob already! Those numbers had me stymied from the get go. But if senior members and Ms. Mod alike don't have a clue either then I'll just chalk it up to one of those great mysteries of the binary world.

Am not sure if this is an answer, just an observation after seeing your original question.
I think the # to the left means number of new posts contained within the number of unread threads ( the right #). Thus if I see 27/17 it might possibly mean there are 27 new posts are contained within 17 threads I have not read. Sometimes the left # will go down by several if that thread contained more than one new post. ( opening a thread which has three new posts would make the number become 24/16.
Jordan, whereforth are thou???
Jordan is waving his magical wand once again. Thank you!! And while I'm at it: Have a Happy Thanksgiving!! Love and green lights.
Hope That I am not beating a dead horse , or Irritating Ms. Mod too much but....
Maybe we could have 'signatures' for "Uber Members" only; (or Seniors) . Or maybe for any member thats been on board for more then 2 years.-- Something like that.
...so that the work load (for Ms Mod) would be minimal .
It could be a 'Badge' of sorts, for very active members. A rite of passage, An award.
A signature could be approved ONCE and then the member could NOT CHANGE IT EVER!!! so that Ms. Mod wouldn't have to check each one EACH AND EVERY TIME. The member would not be able to use any Sig' other then the approved one (or to change it). It would be a one-shot deal....meaning one time approval .
The signatures would be text-only and less then 100 characters (see below)
-Tiny
I'll take it under consideration.
Ooh, that could be interesting for people like me...
If signatures are authorised can we please make sure they aren't
Things like that are fine occasionally but seeing them all the time would drive me even more bonkers than I am now. Does anybody really want that on their conscience? Arrggghhhh!!!
