Neil Gaiman
Thomas Harris
Dean Koontz
What everybody else said, too many too list, besides SK,a few not listed John Sandford's Prey series and Virgil Flowers series,Stephen Hunter's Dirty White Boys, anything by Robert Ruark,Teddy Roosevelt,Joseph Wambaugh,Peter Capstick,Stephen Ambrose,Ray Bradbury, anthologies of short horror stories are always a good pick, you will find a great story here and there and lots of good ones..and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey rereading at the moment..depends on your taste of course!:smile2:
McCammon for growing boys, (and anyone else interested in some of the same down home as King does so well) Barker if you want to fight with your head and feel artistic, Straub in any way, shape or form and Ramsey Campbell if you want classic horrible beauty. You omitted Michael McDowell and shouldn't have.
Great Taste! Yah - he's a tad formulaic - but Phantoms was the best! If you liked that but it left you wanting just a tad - try Floating Dragon by Straub!!
I think most SK fans enjoy reading Joe Hill (we like to keep it in the family)
If you like to venture to the crime side of things, Elmore Leonard is a favorite of mine
My favorite detective series - Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch novels
