We owe him many thanks for all he did. He and his family took a huge risk in protecting the Americans. I remembered some of what had happened at the time but watched Argo about a month or so ago and was surprised to hear the story behind the story. I'd never known about the fake movie part of their escape until Argo came out.

Ms. Mod - was the movie Argo any good? I need to take hubby out so he can get over his Arctic isolation syndrome :eek2: plus we like popcorn!

I liked it a lot. I'm not sure how much liberty they took with the historical accuracy, but knowing it was based on real events made it that much more interesting to me.
