Aww, Shasta, Elouise likes you. She's really interactive and has a lot of cute behaviors. My husband (who occasionally grumbles at some point about anyone of the animals) baby talks to her. It's funny.

But I should also point out that I am really, REALLY freaked out by lizards. They are the only animal in the world that scares me and I have no idea why.

She's not a lizard, technically. ;) Her only ambition is to finagle as many earthworms out of you as ...axolotly...possible. :D

I shaved her down this summer, so her hair is not quite as long as it used to be. I'll let it grow out over the winter, then when it gets hot again I'll pull out the ol' trimmers and have a go at it! It was the first time I ever cut her fur and was quite surprised that 1( she let me do it and 2) she really loved it after it was off!! She couldn't get enough of the 'belly-belly-belly' rubbings!

I'm glad you said that. My little Stella gets really bad allergies and scratches herself constantly, causing huge, really gross scabs. We thought about shaving her but thought she'd had it. I am now rethinking this.
