Re: Random Thoughts
Looking foward to the fall... the colorful leaves, the cool air, and the creepiness of the landscape; as the trees prepare themselves for the winter.
It's amazing how smart those trees are, they know when to slow down, so that they may survive, those winter months. Enjoy the fall....

Re: Random Thoughts
We must live through the dreary Winter if we would value the Spring; And the woods must be cold and silent, before the Robins sing.
The flowers must be buried in darkness, before they can bud and bloom.
And the sweetest, warmest sunshine, comes after the storm and gloom.

Just thought this would be uplifting for those... not-so-winter-people.... This by an anonymous person; I am not sure why, I think it's great. Enjoy.

To all my many friends out there... be safe. All fortune belongs to him who has a contented mind. Is not the whole Earth covered with leather for him whose feet are encased in shoes? -From the Panchatantra 2nd-century B.C. collection of Hindu tales

Re: Random Thoughts
To the many hours of the cold, and dreary night; the eve strikes... a Rap, or a Knock.... TIC-TOC-TIC-TOC goes the clock. 'tis a Rap, 'twas not a Knock. Heart too flutter, the sound, a mutter. In the dark they sway, to the shutter he way; the hatch of the kitchen shutter.... Quaint, is the night... Click, Clack, Click, Clack... Knack, Knack, Knack goes the Knacker.... Watch him as he hacks and hacks and hacks. Castrations of the flesh, of death is his game.... He serves to many for sell, in the home for many his hell, the screams of pain from the cell. Knack, Knack, Knack goes the Knacker; Eat up, you'll never have time to track her....

The hours are just minutes taking their time... and the seconds, are just minutes in slow motion.... Have a whimsical Wednesday everyone!!!

Re: Random Thoughts
As one tries to mitigate, and suppress the true meaning of reality, one only weeps in the somberness of the true meaning, of reality. The only way to lessen the grave responsibility is to take on the responsibility, for oneself....

Re: Random Thoughts
In the early hours of the day, night begins to fall... the smoke rises from the Earth as the wind hits the trees.... Creaking and swaying, creaking and swaying. The secular-human walk alone, with the belt of Orion in the distance; to trace the path of the Hebrew legend.... One that has lost it's true North. For they travel the path to the West, as the moon rises from beyond... where the days are long and their will, will fall, when the clock rises to three. As time is too-motion, and motion is in fact time.... Move slow said the wise man, for the Earth will soon grow....

I hope the filming for UNDER THE DOME is going well; can't wait. UNDER THE DOME was the first book I read all the way through, and it kept my interest the whole time; great piece of work.

Re: Random Thoughts
Looking at the small pics that Brian has posted here on the board...the latest to-do w/Misery...Kathy Bates, a maul..."it could be worse"...was that the
Monday thread? Anyway, just before, I'd been looking at the King-Other fellow (who has an interesting title about weight loss...sex w/celebrities?)...ummm
had this random thought...
It'd be nice to get a seafaring tale from Stephen King. I mean, we get a bit of that w/the ship in Lisey's Story...wasn't there also a ship in Duma Key?
All the other big names have a seafaring tale...Melville, Conrad...Cussler...Hemingway...
I've been seeing this repeated phrase in the story I'm reading...it could be worse at sea...oh yeah? I wonder...how much worse?
