I also noticed a mistake in a character's name later on in the story, but it didn't bother me.
Neither did it bother me, but maybe it can be corrected in another edition.
Actually, I found that it is rather suitable for a book with a main character that's a teacher, correcting papers!
And of course, "If there's love, smallpoxs scars are as pretty as dimples"...
I think that counts for books too.

"If there's love, smallpoxs scars are as pretty as dimples"-motto number 2 of SK's "22.11.63"(at least in the UK-edition???)
Re: 11/22/63 Small "Mistake"
i, too, found a huge mistake...
on page 842...?
the frikkin book ends !!how could he do that !!
Re: 11/22/63 Small "Mistake"
Ummm...all those are not mistakes on anyone's part. They're just part of the on going butterfly effect.
: )
Re: 11/22/63 Small "Mistake"
I found it interesting that Jake would walk all the way to the Benbrook Library to mail a letter which is a 9 mile trip. But maybe he was just getting some exercise rather than Mr. King got Mercedes Ave confused with Mercedes St...
Re: 11/22/63 Small "Mistake"
well, shoot !!
it wasn't supposed to be 'Benbrook Library'...it was supposed to be 'Pembrook Library', which, everyone knows, is just four blocks away !!
dang butterflies

not so sure.
I am only about half way through the book and he has mentioned Mercedes street and Winscott repeatedly.
i live not a half mile from Mercedes and Winscott....in Benbrook.
the "Benbrook" Library is currently at 1065 Mercedes Street (as far as i can tell, the Benbrook library did not exist until after 1992)
Oswald lived on Mercedes AVE. that street is only a block long and is book ended by Foch st and Caroll st (next to old Montgomery Wards warehouse).
Oswald did attend a little elementary schooling in Benbrook (mentioned in Warren Comm report a few times). maybe this is where the info got confused?
in fact there is a Benbrook elementary school on Mercedes, just a block from Winscott, as well....highly doubt it is the one he went to.
not that this detracts from the story telling at all.

Re: 11/22/63 Small "Mistake"
I just finished the book. Loved it! But there is another small mistake that is repeated throughout the book. The Oswald residence on 2703 Mercedes near Montgomery Ward was an Avenue. In the book it is called Mercedes Street. Granted, it isn't a big deal, but there is actually a 2703 Mercedes street address (still standing) not far from where Oswald's brother lived, but it isn't the one.
