I watched Creepshow last night. Or re-watched because it is third time at least as I see this one.
The Dark Knight Rises - enjoyable, flawed, and not as important as it thinks it is.
Pillars of the Earth, a tv series on dvd.Based on the novel by Ken Follet.Loved it! If you like kings & queens, castles and sword fights you'll like this one.
Mine's a cable tv movie from the Babylon 5 universe. This one has a few bumps in it's road, but Legend of the Rangers proves, once again, that like Joss Whedon and Uncle Stevie, Joe Straczynski simply can't write a bad story. Some may be more outstanding than others, but still.... "The universe is an exciting place, I can't imagine living anywhere else." - G'kar
A Clockwork Orange - I think I'll be singing "Singin' in the Rain" at work today, my droogs. :biggrin2:
Fright Night (2011). A nice movie to watch once. I cannot say I liked it, but I cannot say I did not, either. It is just one more vampire movie...
Blu-ray of The Deer Hunter (1978) - I saw this movie in the theaters when it came out (I was 17 or 18) and I don't think I've seen it since in it's entirety (probably seen bits and pieces on cable over the years). I'd forgotten how great this was.
This is an awesome and really hard to take movie. It's very long (3 hours) and it is done in three acts. The three acts could almost stand alone as separate movies. Most Vietnam war movies deal primarily with the horrors of war but this movie is different because it's main focus is on the damage done at home to the friends and family of the soldiers. Robert DeNiro, Christopher Walken and Meryl Streep are all great particularly Christopher Walken.
The blu-ray looks great except for some places where some real news footage was inserted into the movie (like the fall of Saigon). That footage doesn't match the rest of the film very well.
Since it was pouring down rain yesterday,I decided to watch "The Ides of March" starring Ryan Gosling and George Clooney.Thought it was pretty good. But I just gotta say, imo, Gosling is a much more talented actor than Clooney and it certainly showed in this film.
As you can tell, I enjoy movies as well as reading:rolleyes:
The latest movie I have seen..."The Dark Knight Rises" @ Imax.Awesome!
