Would love to know if you have sold the rights to the cell to a movie studio
it is one of my favorite books of yours. I have read almost all of them.
I think it would be a great movie !!

The movie rights were sold shortly after the book was published. Eli Roth was set to direct after he finished Hostel 2 but the project is currently on "hold" and I do not have any information at this time as to when/if a production will move forward.

Hi,
Yes, so it would.
But not in the hands of Eli (Hostel) Roth IMO.
Long days and pleasant nights

You're right on that point. Maybe it will end up in someone else's hands. We can only hope.

I wish someone like Frank Darabont would direct it. I'm afraid that Eli Roth will overdue the gore and blood in a way it doesn't need to be done.
It's the principle of the art and doing the book justice. That's what we want. Not tons of blood and gore to make us vomit.

Agreed! Who wants to see all that grossness? Ugh! The story would end up totally eclipsed by it. :belch:

Amen! It needs to be in Sam "Drag Me To Hell" Raimi's hands. Or with Kathryn Bigelow. Or with Jonathan Mostow.

Who would not want to see one of Stephen's works in the hands of Frank Darabont?
I think Cell would make a great movie if done right and Frank is the guy who has that capacity.

I think Frank Darabont is attached to a television version of the graphic novel, The Walking Dead for a cable channel.
