So who's your two favorite villians, heroes or whatever? Here's mine.
Don't forget things, an example is Rolands guns, or Gaunt's car.
Evil: Leland Gaunt, It (Gaunt is sly and evil, while It is a fat glob of chaos.)
Good: Sherrif Pangborn, The Losers Club (all of em), Sam Peebles
Icky: Church, and Pennywise
Things: Gaunt's Fricken Tucker Talisman (badass), and Gaunt's Fricken Evil and Scary Bag Of Souls!
Setting: Castle Rock, Derry, Lewiston, and anywhere in Maine
Abilities: Pennywises' nasty shape-shifting. Gaunt's shop and his ability to put a town to Chaos. Oh, yeah, and Johnny Smith's mind-reading Seeing thing.

Mordred is my favorite "villain". He was the first one I ever felt sorry for, and the first one that I didn't really want them to defeat.
Other than that I find it really hilarious that you describe IT as a "fat blob of chaos" thats awesome!

Not sure about heros or villians yet. But some of my favs are Nort the weed eater and the boy Jake from Dark Tower, the pokerizer from The Stand, Halloran from The Shining and Raider from Needful Things.

I like Tak as a villain, especially when he's talking and busts out of nowhere, "TAK!"
Rose from Rose Madder is my favourite hero.
And the coolest "whatever" is the gray matter stuff from Night Shift

Lisey is my favorite hero.....I think we would all have to lose someone close to realize how you have to pull yourself out of that despair.
My favorite setting is Duma Key.
Favorite Villian has got to be Leland Gaunt....how he can turn your own greed against you....AWESOME!

Sort of not what you had in mind, but still on track--the best things about SK universe are:
5. His wife and children. I enjoy reading their things too.
4. All the new formats he tries.
3. His fiction books.
2. His non fiction writings. Yes, I tend to like those sometimes more than the fiction because that's the way I roll.
1. This message board. I've been coming here for--let me Wiki this and check it out--Oh LORD! I've been coming to this board for eight years now. This board means a great deal to me personally as do many of the people who inhabit it's hallowed halls.

Heros: our Lois and Ralph
Worse nonheros: the moms in Salems Lot and The Stand
They were worse than the monsters...cause you couldnt count on them....didnt like Susan's and Frannie's mom at all! Monsters are not accountable...but these folks should have been, aye.

That's one of the things I liked most about Needful Things! It can be so true in real life too.

Favorite character: Henry Leyden from Black House. Henry rocks!
Worst villain: A toughie. Between Norman Daniels in Rose Madder and Rhea of the Coos. Both are pure evil.
Best setting: Probably that of Duma Key.

Villians: Type 1 Vampires, I'm a vampire junkie, so anything to do with them is automatically amazing! I also love Leeland Gaunt, Flagg, and Linoge
Heroes: Father Callahan (sort of an anti-hero in 'Salem's Lot, but redeems himself in The Dark Tower 7). I also love Sheriff Pangborn.
Settings: Castle Rock is by far my favorite, but I also love Jerusalam's Lot and Derry.
OH! And Susan's horse, Pylon is my favorite horse in the SK Universe :biggrin2:

Villains: Randall Flagg, Mr Grey, John Shooter/Mort Rainey (Or was he an Anti-Hero, hmm...)

One of my favorite villains is Sunlight Gardener from The Talisman.

Favorite heroes: Roland of Gilead, of course, though I am also partial to the Loser's Club and Larry Underwood
Enemies: Flagg's rendition from The Stand was cool, but I didn't like him as much in Eyes of the Dragon. I also liked the kids from "Children of the Corn."
Items: I'd have to say the Dark Tower itself. When everything is said and done, no matter what King book I am immersed in, somewhere in the multiverse, the Tower remains, reigning supreme and unchangeable.
Location: Probably Castle Rock. I really liked the small town charm King was able to instill into the place.

Hmm...best villain is tough. Roland D. Lebay is a great villain but so is Rainbird; he's so deceptive. I love Leland Gaunt too; very charismatic.
Heroes: Dennis Guilder, Mike Noonan, John Coffey.

Favorite villains are probably Barlow and Flagg. The evil in the Overlook Hotel and the evil in the burial ground in Pet Sematary were both pretty intense too.
Favorite heroes are probably Ben Mears and Mark Petrie from 'Salem's Lot. Halloran from The Shining was great too.
I love the small town feel of many of Mr. King's stories. You're in town and yet you're only a stone's throw from the country roads and forests that press closely around these small towns.
I love the realism that Stephen King is able to give the unbelievable. Storytelling at it's very best.:cool2:

Evil is Stark or Flagg in my opinion though I'm scared of the Raggedy Man/Harvard too.....
Best Hero/Most deserving hero: Ben Mears
Most convincing characters: The Loser's Club (esp. Bev who does things in the book which she doesn't do in the film)
Favourite Kid in an SK book: Danny from The Shining
Favourite Setting: Castle Rock (in all its forms)
Most Scary Setting: Desperation or The Pet Semetary..
