View Full Version : Riddle Me This.
Eleese of Gilead.
April 17th, 2008, 03:28 PM
I thought it would be appropriate to have a thread devoted to Riddles..I couldn't find an exclusive riddle section so I thought I would start one. If anyone out there is like me, on the message board and work and it's more like a message bored, a good riddle would be amusing. So let's go!
Black I am and much admired, men seek me until they're tired. When they find me, they break my head, and take from me my resting bed. What am I?

This riddle has been the hardest riddles i have ever read. My brother sent it to me a year ago and it took me a month to figure out. Trust me, when you find the answer you'll feel stupid.
Mountains will crumble and temples will fall, and no man can survive its endless call. What is it?
(I won't tell the answer until someone gets it :zip: )

How many times can you subtract 5 from the number 25???
Once! After that it is no longer 25, it's 20.
Mountains will crumble and temples will fall, and no man can survive its endless call. What is it?
Is it time?

Eaten by some, but most wouldn't dare.
Either way I can't run, but I've been seen in the air.
I might hurt a man whether hook or by crook,
but the ladies adore me sometimes, with a look.

It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt.
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills.
It comes first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter.

Darn, already caught the "answers" in the other thread...
Here's another:
There is one that has a head without an eye,
And there's one that has an eye without a head.
You may find the answer if you try;
And when all is said,
Half the answer hangs upon a thread
What am I??
