She said I don't know if I've ever been good enough
I'm a little bit rusty, and I think my head is caving in
And I don't know if I've ever been really loved
By hand that's touched me, well I feel like something's gonna give
And I'm a little bit angry

One of my secret vices, but I still love Yourself or Someone Like You.
Well, actually, I just love Rob Thomas' voice.
And he ain't too bad looking, either!

Seven Spanish Angels - Ray Charles and Willie Nelson

He looked down into her blue eyes, and said
"Say a prayer for me". She
Threw her arms around him, whispered
"God will keep us free".
They could hear the riders comin', He said
"This is my last fight...If they
Take me back to Texas, they won't
Take me back a-live.

There were seven Spanish angels, at the
Altar of the sun.
They were prayin' for the lovers, in the
Valley of the gun.
When the battle stopped and the smoke cleared,
There was thunder from the throne,
And seven spanish angels, took a-nother
Angel home. She reached down and picked the gun up,
That lay smokin in his hand.
She said, "Father please forgive me;
I can't make it without my man."
And she knew the gun was empty,
And she knew she couldn't win,
But her final prayer was answered
When the rifles fired again.

There were seven Spanish angels, at the
Altar of the sun.
They were prayin' for the lovers, in the
Valley of the gun.
When the battle stopped and the smoke cleared,
There was thunder from the throne,
And seven spanish angels, took a-nother
Angel home.

If you're wrong- You're burning
I'll cut you ample slack to tie your noose

Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles

I'm going to make a prediction on my Theme song for tomorrow based on how I'm feeling tonight.
will it work?
We shall see!

I'm a country sort of mood!
Run- George Strait (or the cover by Tailor Swift. Whatever. I just love the song.)

If there's a plane or a bus leaving Dallas
I hope you're on it
If there's a train moving fast down the tracks
I hope you caught it

Cause I swear out there ain't where you ought to be
So catch a ride, catch a cab
Don't you know I miss you bad
But don't you walk to me

Baby run, cut a path across the blue skies
Straight in a straight line
You can't get here fast enough

Find a truck and fire it up
Lean on the gas and off the clutch
Leave Dallas in the dust
I need you in a rush
So baby run

If you ain't got a suit case
Get a box or an old brown paper sack
And pack it light or pack it heavy
Take a truck, take a Chevy
Baby just come back

Roll Me Away - Bob Seger

Took a look down a westbound road,
Right away I made my choice
Headed out to my big two-wheeler,
I was tired of my own voice
Took a bead on the northern plains
And just rolled that power on

Twelve hours out of mackinaw city
Stopped in a bar to have a brew
Met a girl and we had a few drinks
And I told her what I'd decided to do
She looked out the window a long long moment
Then she looked into my eyes
She didn't have to say a thing,
I knew what she was thinkin' Roll, roll me away,
Won't you roll me away tonight
I too am lost, I feel double-crossed
And I'm sick of what's wrong and what's right
We never even said a word,
We just walked out and got on that bike
And we rolled
And we rolled clean out of sight

We rolled across the high plains
Deep into the mountains
Felt so good to me
Finally feelin' free

Somewhere along a high road
The air began to turn cold
She said she missed her home
I headed on alone

Stood alone on a mountain top,
Starin' out at the great divide
I could go east, I could go west,
It was all up to me to decide
Just then I saw a young hawk flyin'
And my soul began to rise
And pretty soon
My heart was singin'

Roll, roll me away,
I'm gonna roll me away tonight
Gotta keep rollin, gotta keep ridin',
Keep searchin' till I find what's right
And as the sunset faded
I spoke to the faintest first starlight
And I said next time
Next time
We'll get it right

Let me explain why this is my song today. I found this weird bird song thing on the floor at work today and put it in my pocket, you know the little push buttons that make annoying noises on some children's books, but this was actually kind of a sweet sound. I had planned to take it to the back and get rid of it but I was a busy and it wasn't a priority. I had a bunch of stuff to do and besides, it was kind of a nice sound and every time I bent down to do something it would go off, I was starting to like it. It was big enough to not be a choking hazard, so no hurry and shoot, I might just want to keep it.
So anyhow, it didn't really occur to me that other people could hear it too. One of my customers came up to me after a while and said, "It's You! I knew I'd figure out where that was coming from." We had a good laugh and she said at least she knew she wasn't going nuts. Then another customer came up to us and started singing Close to You and half the store was cracking up and some of them joined in singing. I was a little embarrassed but loving it and yet still wondering if this stuff is supposed to happen in real life. So here's to the Carpenters. :)

This is for you Dragafari . . .

Each Tear . . .Mary J. Blige

There’s something that I want to say,
But I feel like don’t know how.
Still I just can’t hold it one more day,
So I think I let it out.

You’re on my mind more than I may sure
You’re in my heart more than you may know
And the last thing that I want,
Is to you to fall apart.
To you I will be clearer,
I want you to remember.

In each tear
there’s a lesson, (there’s a lesson)
Make you wiser than before ( wiser)
Makes you stronger than you know (stronger)
In each tear (each tear)
Bring you closer to your dreams
No mistake, no heartbreak
Can take away what your meant to be

We can’t change the things,
That we done that’s in the past.
But fighting won’t get us anyway.
So if you want, Here’s my hand
Every night there is one thing I do
I bow my head and pray for you (pray for you)
And the last thing that I want,
Is for you to fall apart
To you I will be clearer
I want you to remember

In each tear
there’s a lesson, (there’s a lesson)
Makes you wiser than before (wiser)
Makes you stronger than you know (stronger)
In each tear (each tear)
Bring you closer to your dreams
No mistake, no heartbreak
Can take away what your meant to be . . .

Accentuate the Positive

You've got to accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
And latch on to the affirmative
Don't mess with Mister In-Between

You've got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
Have faith or pandemonium's
Liable to walk upon the scene

To illustrate my last remark
Jonah in the whale, Noah in the ark
What did they do just when everything looked so dark?

(Man, they said "We'd better accentuate the positive")
("Eliminate the negative")
("And latch on to the affirmative")
Don't mess with Mister In-Between (No!)
Don't mess with Mister In-Between

(Ya got to spread joy up to the maximum)
(Bring gloom down to the minimum)
(Have faith or pandemonium's)
(Liable to walk upon the scene)

You got to ac (yes, yes) -cent-tchu-ate the positive
Eliminate (yes, yes) the negative
And latch (yes, yes) on to the affirmative
Don't mess with Mister In-Between
No, don't mess with Mister In-Between

Hi,

Tremendous album, I saw a documentary on the Beatles recording career recently and I thought it was very poignant that the very last thing they ever recorded together was the beautiful closing line from Abbey Road -

Don't it feel like something from a dream
Yeah I've never known nothing quite like this
Don't it feel like tonight might never be again
We know better than to try and pretend
Baby no one coulda ever told me 'bout this
I said yeah yeah

Chorus
The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part

Well yeah I might have chased a couple women around
All it ever got me was down
Then there were those that made me feel good
But never as good as I'm feeling right now
Baby you're the only one that's ever known how
To make me wanna live like I wanna live now
I said yeah yeah

Chorus
The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you get one more yard
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part

Oh don't let it kill you baby, don't let it get to you
Don't let it kill you baby, don't let it get to you
I'll be your bleedin' heart, I'll be your cryin' fool

Tears for Fears.
Gary Jules covered it for Donnie Darko.
Donnie Darko also has a Tears for Fears song in it, Head Over Heels. But as far as I'm concerned, the best use of a song in that movie was in the original, not the directors cut. The Opening scene, after Donnie wakes up and he's on the bike and The Killing Moon by Echo and the Bunnymen kicks in. The opening guitar. Magic.
In the Director's Cut they replaced it with Never Tear Us Apart by INXS. Great song, but still a huge mistake. I can't even watch the director's cut because of it. It throws the whole movie off for me.
Okay, now that I've revealed myself as even more of a freak than previously thought, I will run away and hide again.

Why have you forsaken me?

In your eyes forsaken me
In your thoughts forsaken me
In your heart forsaken me, oh

It is a great work out song!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fallen - Lauren Wood

http://s0.ilike.com/play#Lauren+Wood:Fallen:161230:s7516861.8518914.49671.0.1.58 %2Cstd_868986b9fda0665235c4f4f82b35c143

I can't believe it, you're a dream comin' true.
I can't believe how I have fallen for you.
And I was not looking, was content to remain.
And it's ironic to be back in the game.

You are the one who's led me to the sun.
How could I know that I was lost without you...

And I want to tell you, you control my rain..
And you should know that you are life in my veins.

You are the one who's led me to the sun.
How could I know that I was lost without you...

I can't believe it, you're a dream comin' true.
I can't believe how I have fallen for you.

And I was not looking, was content to remain.
And it's erotic to be back in the game.

Mad World by Gary Jules. (Sometimes its just doesn't pay to get out of bed.)

Despite that it's a remake ... I enjoy the somber version better than the poppy original.

Hey TheWalkinDude! Love your screen name BTW. I'm confused (my usual state of being :oo:). You said it was a remake (I didn't know that.) then you say you prefer the somber version better than the poppy ORIGINAL:eyebrow:. Who did the version you prefer? I just happened to hear the song while watching Donnie Darko (Loved the movie.) Be well!

:)

Hi, I liked both versions to be honest. The original Tears for Fears reminds me so much of my youth. I spent my teens through the eighties listening to all the New Romantic Bands which were the forerunners to todays electronica dance bands. The above mentioned along with Spandau Ballet, Human League, Gary Newman, Heavan 17, Depeche Mode and many more started the electronic sound using synthasizers, electric keyboards, drum machines and mixers and dubbers. A lot of people thought it was the death of Musicians, as bands of the era saught an artificial digital sound. For me it takes me back to the school disco's of my youth!

Every year on Australia day, there's a radio station in Australia (JJJ) that does the 'Hottest 100'. Its a countdown of all the biggest songs for the past year publicly voted by we..the aussie public. Its a pretty big thing here with the under thirty crowd. Every year we, along with thousands of other young australians hold a JJJ Hottest 100 party/BBQ. Bets are run on what will get #1. Its a pretty massive thing....So...my theme song today is the Number 1 for the 2010 hottest 100

Mumford and Sons - Little Lion Man. very cool song, everyone have a listen...

"The Microphone Assasin" preformed by J-Roc (Jon Torrens) from an episode of Trailor Park Boys. A very funny song.

I'm a rabid TPB's fan, a Candian "mockumentry" show about the strange and sordid doins of the 'Sunnyvale Trailor Park' residents. Very off the wall
