I have a dear friend named Christopher! He is a black/white tuxedo cat. I rescued him after a former tenant in an apartment complex I managed moved out and left him in their apartment. When I opened the door, out walked this skeleton of a kitten, as he had been left without food and only the toilet to drink from. It took a couple of weeks to gain his trust, but he soon let me pick him up. Now he is my constant companion and sleeps on my pillow at night. I don't understand how someone could do that to him, but he is now 7 years old and very happy and spoiled.:smile2:

That is so sad. I have 2 sad stories about cats.

1. I was at the humane society having my mama cat fixed. A man comes, at first we all were like who is this guy, he has no shirt on and was hairy. Little did we know that he had just saw a car run over a cat on purpose and was bring it there for medical attention. The cats back was broken beyond repair and they had to put it to sleep.

2. After I found this out I never wanted to see this person, who I considered a frind, ever again. He and his girl were fighting and he threatened to hurt their cat if she didn't find a song online that he wanted. He tied the cats front paws together and held it by the back paws and was swinging it back and forth hitting it on the floor. She finally found the song while crying for the cat. By the time she found the song it was too late the cat was dead.

I do not understand how people can be so cruel to animals. They are our friends. They are only mean when defending themselves. If you show them love they love you unconditionally. I know my cats love me just by how they sllep on my bed and are always purring and licking me. My boy loves to take his paw without using claws and bring my face close to him just to lick my face, now that's love. :love:

I have to keep my bathroom door closed. They chew up my toilet paper and leave pieces all over the floor. If they ever do it again I'll have to take a picture to show you all the lovely presents they (mostly cotton) leaves for me after getting hold of the toilet paper or the paper towels.

Kit has decided to adopt David's parents and their home as her new one. I'm just glad she's eating and bing taken care of. She won't come to my house, not sure what it is exactly but after the kittens got fixed she hisses at them like she never seen them before. But yes I do need to get new pics of the little ones.

Funny thing. I woke up this morning and Cotton was half on David trying to bring david's face to him for grooming. I never see him do it to David, just to me. I laughed.

NO BATHROOM!!!!!!!!! That is such a MESS!

I'm glad you liked the video. My great niece showed it to me this weekend and I got all misty eyed and thought about you all. :love: This Kitty is the one who most closely resembles my Sebastian! He's my big Dog-cat! Follows me everywhere! Still thinks I'm his mother! (I haven't been to bathroom alone since 1999!) All the cats are spoiled but 'Boz', (Jax's baby speak for him, before he could say Sebastian!) is so spoiled he has his own song and nursery rhyme! Remember Etta James' - "At Last....." Well, just put 'my Sebastian' in place of 'my love'!!! Here's his nursery rhyme! (it always gets him purring and slobbering happy!!!) " Sebastian, Sebastian! Where have you been!?.... he said "I've Been to London to see the Queen!" "Oh Sebastian, Sebastian! What did you there!?"......... he said, " I killed a big rat! And put it under her chair!" "Oh! Sebastian! Sebastian! What did she say!?!?"..........he said, "She smiled very sweetly!! And gave me my pay!!" "Sebastian! Sebastian! Hi Cowboy- There is a natural plant COLEUS CANINA also known as pee- off plant, or scardey cat canina. Cute little blue flowers. Cats hate the smell. iT doesn't smell to human- unless- you crush the flower in your hands!

Also orange or lemon peels around flower beds.

There is an "old wives tale" mixture of chewing tobacco, urine, mouthwash, liguid detergent and beer that is also sprayed to keep cats away. I have friends up north that use it to keep the deer out of their veggie gardens.

Oh, they also do not like to walk on aluminum foil.

Good luck and please don't use any poisons- wild life are around too.

After I read (((Papawolf's))) post about his AnnaBell I tuned up and cried. It was a good therapeutic cry so don't worry, I'm all better now. But I feel the need to be honest about my kitty issues...
It really would not be prudent for me to get a cat as I said before because we have a Jack Russel Terrorist who rules the roost here. Any cat that came here to live would have to get tough fast and that is true, but it is a cat's nature to "strap on whenever it seems appropriate." (Lisey's Story Reference) So I can't blame Lucy the JRT for my catlessness...
The truth is that I have a cat. Or should I say had a 15 year old Maine Coon by the name of Toby, I can never leave a good name alone so Toby wound up evolving into the moniker... My Big Toe.
I had to leave him in Tx when I moved up here to WA two years ago. It was imperative that I come up here because my family needed me, and it was impossible to bring him as he is way too old to be strapping things on. The trip would have likely stressed him to death.
Toby had been my constant companion for all of those 15 years, and did so with the sweetest of dispositions and a heart full of love and trust.
I thank all that is good I found him a loving home with a friend of mine's elderly parents. They fell in love with him instantly. Who wouldn't, oh he is a loverboy and a huge flirt. It took him all of an hour to settle in and find a spot in the house, and their hearts that would be his, and he is there to this day, the king of all he surveys.
Leaving him was one of the hardest things I have done in my adult life. The trip up here was a total tear fest! I cried all the way from Wichita Falls, TX to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I mean real snot slinging sobs all the way. I took a Greyhound bus so that's a lot of crying... then there was three days worth of on and off sniveling.
So anyhow, I found this picture in Photobucket that strikingly resembles him, I thought I'd share that with you guys and confess that I really don't have the heart to get another kitty right now... Maybe someday I will, I can't imagine living the whole rest of my life without a cat. But no matter what I do there will never be another Big Toe. :(

Cute pictures, I didn't mean to impact like that. It is just I have been missing My AnnaBell so much because we were homeless last year together and she tore up my liner in our car/home. We did a lot of fun stuff at the beach and forest. I remember her brother and her got into instant mash potato's. that is what this picture reminds me, that time they were sitting in a box together kicking flakes into the air and catching them on their tongues. I woke up and could see well enough to know what they were doing. When I did figure it out, I couldn't punish them but just laugh! :biggrin2:

I lost her brother Draven due to food poisoning from the pet food. Would explain my very close attatchment to Anna

No. My cats let me know they did it, they will bring the roll into the bedroom, or whatever room I am in and be just out of sight and start tearing it up. Then they will bring some of the paper into view and then take off. I swear they are laughing when they do this!!!!!

I found Anna in the fridge once, she scared me. She was so tiny when we, my mom and I, first got her. She was behind a watermelon, when I opened the door she popped out. :eek2: Of course she just looked at me like I was stupid or something another.
