Vacation has been nice but busy. Lots of work done with the horses and vehicles that pull those horses down the highway.
Read the little boys the pop-up version of The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordan today....they love it so and never tire of dad reading it to them.
Packing up the trailer and doing all those last minute things before we hit the road Friday for a rodeo in Bowling Green, KY. Daughter is competing in this one, not me. Lots of points on the line for her to qualify for Nationals again and make it back to Gallop, NM.

The other night, Def Leppard was on Rockline, the radio show where fans can call in and ask questions in real time. I called, but didn't get on. One of the girls in my Rick Savage group did, though, and asked a question that's been repeated all over the news media with regards to the band. Great fun for her, and the rest of us!

Why thank you kindly... A girl? Ohh, I wish I had a girl, too. Both names are beautiful Blackeye. Keep in mind that, almost inevitably, your daughter will acquire a nickname derived from that name. Make sure that you like the sound of that, too.

Just a quick coffee and Baileys for me. My sons are about to get home and seriously curtail my computer access. (Also known as "kicking me off".) Who was it who had the "Do your children respect you?" thread? My answer is yes, but you have to pick your battles carefully. Look forward to chatting with you all on Monday, and will try to catch up on the threads I've fallen behind in reading if I can elbow my way onto the computer queue over the next few days.

Have a wonderful time and a safe trip (that goes for everybody this weekend too). Hope the weather is on your side. It's always fun doing the first packing of the year everything has to be spotless and packed right in just the perfect place then about July, you dread it,"I gotta do this again". Then Sunday afternoon I pull the trailer into the yard as close to the house as I can get it and start throwing things out on the grass as close to the door as I can get them as to save steps unpacking and cleaning up, dirty clothes, pop bottles, potato chip bags, show bills, boots, etc. I'll be rooting for her!! It will be a while before I hit the road. Heck it was snowing this morning. Blech.

Sorry all, I know I have been MIA. I couldn't figure out why I was so tired all the time. I have had sharp pains in my stomach and my groin. This last Tuesday, I ended up in the hospital. I was told I have an infection in my right nut. :blush: Sorry ladies, this very, very embarrassing for me to say. That is where I have been, sick bed and work. Now it is going to be just sick bed for a while. I hope I don't lose my job because of this.

I watched a good movie, 21. It was a fun one. Has Kevin Spacey and the girl from superman(I think???). I recommend it. I also read a lot. Trying to finish up The Ruins before the movie comes out on Friday. Great book so far. :)

My Mama is not supposed to drive alone but she did and rushed here to be with her sister and us! She got here just fine and stayed on the phone with me most of the long drive! We got to the hospital and found, thank God that my Aunt is progressing along very well!!! I pray she continues to. I am off to the hospital now as soon as I finish this!All in all everyone here is doing EXTREMELY well considering all that has happened in the past couple of days or so!!! I loved it but ended up with knee surgery after a bad landing from a jump round kick that blew out my ACL. The pivoting and jumping made me nervous that I would reinjure it so it wasn't fun anymore. :sad:

We just got our red (with white stripe). So far we've had 2 women blow out their ACL from kicks so I'm pretty nervous. I use to work for an orthopedic Dr. and know the rehab involved. The breaking is my weak point by far. I love the form and self-defense but not too comfortable with sparring,maybe because I always end up sparring a woman with legs that go up to my neck:smile2: I can never get close enough to land a kick.

Thanks Kim...actually she is in four different associations, this one, the biggest and best, she does Poles, Goat Tie, Team Roping, Break Away Calf Roping and Ribbon Roping. This one was a Wrangler Division Rodeo. Thanks for all the well wishes folks, it is greatly appreciated! It was a rough weekend and she did not fair very well, but another is coming up April 12th, so no time to think about it. Have a great day friends!

So sorry I rushed out of the cantina so quick yesterday. Ka doesn't take a shift off, evidently. I got "the call" from momma bear - 12 hours later we got baby bear. Camden Matthew is doing very well, and Mom is recovering fine. And we got wireless in the nice room they have for us here. He is 8lbs and 4 ounces and has a full head of dark hair. Dad is so excited he decided to stay up all night and stare at the baby(yeah I know I should be getting sleep, but I've been waiting too long for this). So I won't be back for a few probably. Thought the folks here would like to know. Once I figure out how to get a picture on the internet(it shouldn't be tough for a nerd like me) I will show baby Camden.

I know the kind nature of the folks in here. So I would like to say thanks in advance for any kind words - as I may not be around to reply promptly. :smile2:

I had the same problem for 2+ weeks, dragonangel. Hot water with lemon or hot tea with lemon was all I drank; very soothing and I drank a lot of it. Then I wondered why I leaked when I coughed.

I don't usually read the drafts because they get changed so much and I don't want to read them 3 or 4 times so I either wait until the ARCs or the final book are released. I start work at a new job tomorrow, and that leaves me exactly today to wrap up a project I've been working on. I'd love to blow off the job and dedicate all my time to my project, but reality becons, and there's bills to pay.

It's art. There's a local Ren fair later in the year, and I've been convinced to produce some artwork to sell. The pickings are slim at this point, but I've got six months to come up with a more prolific portfolio.
Also thinking about setting up a table at a couple of anime cons this year. We'll see.
Plus I've got another murder mystery on one front, and a children's book on another. Lots going on.
