I have to work on monday's St. Pat.'s day and I have a doc's appointment as well. I am running a bit late due to a computer not wanting to run and another isn't evening opening up windows. :p

The weather in northern UK sound terrible (winds up to 90 mph?)--stay safe everyone. In fact, stay inside the Cantina until the wind lets up.
Hot tea with lemon, please. I was so touched, when I went back to work yesterday, people had actually missed me & someone gave me a chrysanthemum. :smile2:

A co-worker of mine is having a hard time with her health, I am praying for her and wonder if you fellow Mates could put a word or two in. Her arthritis is really bad and she might be missing some work soon.
I think my partner and I get the worst of the chew out, it is probably because we do our chores fully. I mean we make it look good because we don't half ass the chores, plus we talk to each other.
As for the home front, it is smooth sailing at the moment. My son is trying to learn everything and grow up way too fast. I talk with him just about everything a five year old needs to know or learn. Potty training is finally catching on, I think he is due for another award. I told him if he doesn't have an accident in his pants, I will get him something at the end of the week. But, he has to make a whole week of going to school without doing duties his pants. Last week I got him a big stuffed Peep, he just loves that thing. He calls it his Best Friend Peep Duck, :biggrin2:. I am chewing your ears off, I will take a large bowl of ice water and I will be by a window. Reading in some cool shade.
Sure do miss Mother Wolf, hope she is doing well.

Business travel as well as some much-needed vacations has had me in and out of town for the last four weeks. I am now back for a while before I have to travel again. It is good to be back.

By the way, I bought Duma Key last week and it is now on my shelf waiting to be read and I should be ready to attack it by this weekend.

Morning all! I have cake. Homemade chocolate with chocolate frosting and raspberries. I know its a little rich for the morning, but I'll leave it covered for later. Coffee and Baileys for me. Thank you for the advice on the patio Mr. Dalglish. It is snowing in my neck of the woods, but hopefully the weather is better at the Cantina. Not that the atmosphere isn't just as warm inside.
P.S. I get the feeling I'm missing something with the llama... I guess I'll have to keep reading the old postings for this thread. So far, you guys have provided a great deal of entertainment. There are some very clever people here. Thanks. :grinning:

I gave the old department 2 months notice even though 1 month is the 'normal' way of doing it.... but it's taken them 5 MONTHS before they were able to let me go to my new department! Some time ago I mentioned the plight of little Emma Robson my son's god-daughter, who'd contracted throat cancer at the age of four, and many of you sent your prayers and good thoughts.

I'm sure you'll be as delighted as we are with the news that she's responded to the chemo and is now all clear (touch wood) and gets released from the hospital in a week or so.

What a great present for Easter!

More than 500 pages of what I hope is brilliant writing, and I can't figure out how to tie the bloody thing up. (A statement which is hilarious when you consider there's bondage in the book.) All of the major dramas are resolved, and then it's like... now what.

It has been a wonderful party the last couple of days, but may I suggest that we start putting this place back the way it was before? (Trying to go for 'Less Is More' here instead of a tiresome soliloquey!) LOL! The Cantina has always been an ever evolving place. It is tea room, coffee house, patiserie, on occasion a chocolaterie, and yes not too unlike a Biker or Indian Bar!!!! LOL! We've got a few reg's that are missing in action that I am confident will return as soon as they can,(Missing Volic,'Cola,Charms and of course others) and I know that our Miss Spidey has not been here much lately, probably cause she's too busy caring for all the critters and us !!! But it could not be that comfortable for her with all the loud music, carousing and half naked Tequila tanked girlies! LOL! (You weren't the only one Gwen!!!) Lets move the pool tables back out to the barn(theres room!) for awhile and make some more room for the bean bags and tea carts! And me and Cleon need to get to installing an eyeball (recessed spotlight) over our Purr-tricia's English poster (that I love so well!)! Now I am not 'GETTING ON TO' anyone here, other than me, myself and I !!! But I'd like some help, poor Oscar is plumb wore out just from fetching beer! And backs hurts from carrying all the books, cases of beer and Tequila bottles! LOL! When my Gran was around she could not stand for anyone to be drinkin'! HER problem, no one elses! But I actually enjoyed walking around doing laundry, cleaning, cooking etc. etc., with my beer or other things kept on the down low. It was peaceful and worked well for us! (Oh Yes! She always knew what I had! LOL!) So this is for just out of love for our other Tet-Mates who like to keep Irish coffees or other things on the down low, and for all the other patrons who don't enjoy those sort of drinks at all. Like I said!!! This is ME, who has been encrouching on other peoples experience in the Cantina!!! Not intended for all you wonderfuls who partied it big time with/for me!!! LOL! OK! Ok so I haven't been around the Cantina for a bit, say sorry. I thought I would stop by for some coffee. I have a strange schedule today and may need the caffiene boost. I work 8pm to 4am on a TUESDAY! I have 2 troopers out and one goes home at 11pm, the other goes home at 12 midnight. Not the stuff from a can, mind you... Oh no. Whipped by hand with just a trace of sugar added.

I think I may get in trouble. Apparently there was a fax that came in a week ago on my shift and it is lost. I don't remember seeing it at all and don't know what would have happened to it and I am afraid I am going to be in trouble for it. :sad: :glare: I'm gonna have to think about this for a bit and see what to do about it...
