I was looking forward to spending time with this girl in my art studio yesterday, just as I was a couple of weeks ago, and everyone else running late buggered it all up again. She and I were both disappointed, but I had a gift of Play Dough for her to take home with her at least. She could only come over for ten minutes before her bedtime.

Nice to see the place open again. Life's been a roller coaster ride here. The meds took me out of kidney failure and back to just nephritis, but now, trying to go down to a maintenance dose of the medication has me feeling rough again. I can't win.

I think I'll take a cup of chai with whipped cream on top today, please. I'll be sitting in the corner booth.

Howdy all.....let me explain the wet boots and bottoms of my wrangler jeans. I was riding the big, young paint horse. He is a jar-head. Since he is young, I am trying to teach him to trust me and get used to not always taking the easy way out. So I am riding him across this field headed for these woods to do some mushroom hunting. I see a large puddle up ahead and decide it would be good for him to walk through it since he obviously wanted to skirt around it. We get to the middle and he dips his head (I assume he wants a drink), I give him reign to do so and he LAYS DOWN in the puddle. I am left standing in the puddle, straddling him. Did I mention he was a Jar-Head? I make him stand back up and I go back up with him but the damage is done, my boots and jeans are now soaked. I wasn't too mad since he is young but what a jar-head. :grinning:

Cowboy- that was too much. Reverse teaching by one jar -head horse. You can lead a rider to the puddle, and then take a mud bath. Was the horse smiling?:wink2:

Last week, I managed to injure my ankle, and don't really know how I did it..... On Wednesday night, I noticed the ankle was a little sore, didn't think much of it.
Thursday morning it was still sore and a little swollen, so I thought well, I must have rolled it at some point...still no big deal.
By the end of the day on Friday, it was very swollen, and my foot was purple.....decided to go have it checked out.
Turns out that I have a hairline fracture in my foot and a severely sprained ligament in my ankle.....they've wrapped it up like a mummy, and given me a very ugly shoe to wear.
Worst part is that I have to sit still for at least 10 days.....Aaaack!

We had a great weekend, took a day trip into the Black Hills of South Dakota. Stopped at Jewel Cave, took a short tour-they have a longer tour, but we just missed the start of one, and didn't want to wait for 2 hours until the next one, so we will definitely be going back there sometime soon. Then we went to Mt. Rushmore, we haven't been there in about 5 years, so it was the first time for our 2 littlest kiddos, it was so fun to see the monument through their eyes! They thought it was pretty cool. It was nice to get out of town, even though it was just for the day!

The trip went well little delay with Maine flight but we was in time. We had no problem to find a taxi cab.
And everything was okay. So now I'm gonna spend some time here. And someone said NYC is a big apple and I have to agree. It was big. But we didn't see much of the city but that we saw was enough. And they drive like crazy in NY that I also figured out yesterday.

Hi everyone. Today is a wet day. I was going to do some stuff outside, but I can't if it's raining. Good for some of the shrubs we planted, though. Our soil is tough to grow anything in so the shrubs need all the help they can get.

My cat has been sleeping on my bed for hours; he thinks it's his bed. Must have had a tough night catting around. I just wish he would stop shedding. I can't pet him without pulling away a hand full of hair.

Hi.

Wow, what a day...it`s my wife`s birthday, and I was preparing to celebrate a bit with her when she gets home from work, made everything cozy, wrote a love story for her, cleaned up the house to the max, everything to make her happy....and then, about an hour ago she got home from work 5 hours early than she was supposed to...WHAMMO, a birthday present from her company - they fired her!

She had to sign a ton of confidentiality papers in order to get a lousy severance package which consists of only one month pay and she will be eligible for EI benefits, but in exchange for that - they would not tell her why they fired her.
They escorted her to the exit like she is some kind of criminal, they had already called a taxi in advance to wait for her and she even saw a cop standing near-by....she was not 100% sure if it was for her, in case she would throw a tantrum ( which she never would, she is to good of a person for that ) but I doubt that the cop was coincidence either....

So yeah...don`t really know what to think, she asked me to leave her alone a bit and take care of the kid, she vent to lay down in the bedroom.
I will try everything possible to make this day special for her, still, but man...this was a HUGE gut punch...:(

Srbo, I am so sorry to hear this news. First- Happy Birthday to your wonderful wife, and mom to your adorable daughter.
Let us find a little positive, if we can, - everything happens for a reason! When one door closes, another- bigger and better one will open. There is a plan in life, and this may be what was meant to be.

Many companies in America follow that same procedure upon letting a worker go. Not to say that sort of treatment is right. They protect themselves.
I send only love and green lights to you and your wife. Give her an extra hug!!

I will have some hot tea this morning, please, got up with a sore throat and runny nose, AGAIN!! This being warm one day and cold the next, I just can't seem to kick it completely. As long as the pleurisy stays away this time, crossing my fingers I don't have to go through that again.

My 3rd grader has a field trip today to an old one room schoolhouse, had to dress like an 1800s kid and take an old fashioned type lunch. He wore cowboy boots, and a cowboy type outfit, topped off with a cowboy hat that belonged to his great-grandfather, he was so excited for school today! I hope he has fun, they will be attending school at the schoolhouse all day today. Wish we could go peek in on them, but no parents allowed today!

I just got back from outside with the dog. Duke is a funny dog. He likes to run with a toy in his mouth and he bucks like a bronco when he does. He expects me to chase him or else he will be really disappointed and whine. And he runs really fast! I can't catch him. No one can. And he knows that so he slows down, waits for me to catch up, and then takes off again. The only way I can catch him is if he gets bored with being chased. Then he wants to chase me.

Talk about being out of breath. I think I'll have some Gatorade.

Well, once again it was a very quiet day yesterday here, we get like that, when something unpleasant happens, for some reason we both just shut up and try to handle the situation and our feelings the best we can.
For some reason we just don`t talk about it, not in the first few days anyway, we just don`t want to lower ourselves to a level were we might say words that do not belong in our vocabulary...I think, anyway.
Yeah, I curse, but in situations like these...quiet seems the best option.

Wonderful, sunny day, enjoying it with my family, listening to the new Stevie Nicks album and celebrating three years of marriage with my lovely wife.:)

Suzana is not paying attention to me AT ALL, I guess she missed being with mommy these past two years full time and had enough of Daddy`s "crap" so she is totally focused on mommy.
Mommy is getting better emotionally, but now in the last few days, this friend I`m supposed to move to in ON has dissappeard. His phone is cut off, no messages on Facebook, don`t know what`s happening, so that gives me now a bit of stress.
Hopefully it`s nothing serious and he will hold to his promise.

Ah, eff it, I`m gonna be happy today, no matter what, just let my brain run on empty.

Thank you all for the well wishes, I am feeling better this morning.
Just a lot of sick of being sick, I have been sick sooo much this winter. One thing after another, and I get scared because things like lupus and fibromyalgia and just auto immune diseases in general run in my family, it seems like we all have something going on health-wise. I have been touched by it a little already, with my thyroid, had to kill it off. It is really amazing how much your thyroid does for your body, and your mind, and when it's not there anymore, some days are really difficult.
So that, along with some problems we are having with our oldest kid, I have just been feeling pretty down.
But I love you all so much for reaching out to me, and being there for me! We truly are Ka-Tet!

Ok, enough of that!! I hope everyone is doing well, hugs and prayers and positive thoughts from me to you! Have a great day everyone, love you all!!

Well, I don`t want to jump to conclusions but - the friend who I was supposed to move to next month in Ontario...has simply dissapeared from the Earth in the last two and a half weeks.
His phone is cut off, not answering my e-mails and I have no idea how to contact the man.
Don`t want to say anything, but if this deal goes to hell...then I really don`t know what to do...
I didn`t say anything yet to my wife ( she did ask once or twice, but I simply said the man was busy...even though there was not ONE day that we did not talk to each other in one way or the other prior to this ), don`t want to send her into panic mode.

Lets hope for the best.

I told my boss I can't work I have to go to hospital to get eyedrop for this eye and now I'm gonna be home for 3 days . I return back to work on Friday if it's better of course. I see with only one eye it's not very easy to write here. And when it's hurt in the eye too.:down:

Hi, I haven't been around for... I don't know how long, but very long to me.
Anyway, I'm glad to be back and see you all in good shape, as usual.

It's been quite hard for me, because -you may remember- I got unemployed and I decided to get back yo study. I intended to take the examinations to become a public high school teacher , because working for private schools or training centers, as I have been all these years is now so difficult.
Spain is chaotic at present, losing your job is everyday routine, and finding a new one is more difficult than winning the lottery.
So, I got to study, but now all the matters of study have been changed!

Books to prepare those examinations are available in bookshops, but now they are all obsolete and useless, so we have no material to study. Editors are preparing now the new books, but they won't be available until September. So I must simply waste my time in the meantime.
Sometimes I think I should give up, and forget about it all, devote myself to write, read and the household, but I feel wasted and useless.
I'm trying to study by myself, writing my own lessons, but it's time-consuming, energy-consuming, and I can't never be sure if I'm doing it properly.

Oh my God, I'm a pain, excuse me. I'll be a bit brighter next time, I promise. :blush:

Life suddenly turned hellish here. Long story, but an abusive a-hole is stalking us, accusing us of potentially molesting his daughter because we are friends with her mother. He's sending horrible emails and saying horrible things about us. It's so ugly that my husband is going to go to the police tomorrow. The fellow's cheese slipped off his cracker, he is delusional. He's a sociopath/narcissist with a few too many loose screws and he says he's going to call the cops on us??????!!!!

We need calming, protective energy here. My husband is just about ready to have a stroke, he's so upset. I am well beyond livid because I get mentioned in those nasty emails and conversations as well. Somehow, we will get through today, and tomorrow, my man is going to the police to find out what his options are (In Canada... not US... we're Canucks up here.)

I just can't believe this.

My husband took the threatening letter that was emailed to him and went to the police. He's still there. I hope he's making a nice long statement and finding out what the options are for dealing with the evil a-hole.

I'm wondering if I need to inform my employer that we are being threatened or if I should keep my yap shut for now. The guy is in Vancouver today and will go to Montreal tomorrow for at least a few days, maybe until the 13th of June if his G/F doesn't boot his arsch out for being an arsch. We're still really stressed here... both of us are wound up so tight we're shaking and physically uncomfortable.

I informed the guy's estranged wife that all those lovely emails he sent her are illegal as well and she needs to go to the police too.

Well, my husband talked to the police and they won't do anything. All they can say is not to get him mad. Hello? The man exists angry and spends hours composing vile emails.

My husband was given a business card by the constable that he talked to. He thinking about giving it to the bad man's little girl in case her dad gets scary again when he comes home from his trip. He'll tell her that if her dad gets really ugly with her, she can call the lady whose name is on the card and if she can't come, someone else will.

All we want to do is protect the kid. If she calls the cops, then perhaps children's services will step in and my husband won't have had to betray his friend's trust and call himself. She's been trying to get the kid, but it's too slow for my taste. I want to call children's services so bad, but I've been muzzled. Maybe if the kid calls the cops...

I just know that I am tired of crying.

I had a problem with a crazy person once, (it went on for months) he even vandalized my home. I let the police listen to the messages he left on my phone and showed them the stuff he did to my house and bird feeder they said they felt bad for me (and the birds) but they actually had to catch him in the act of doing something to me or my property before they could arrest him.
One of them even said no one would blame me if I shot him. :eek2:
That was in Texas, and they have (jokingly.... I think) a needs killing clause in the law. But that's Texas.
They said I did the right thing in reporting the situation, and that he was a "known menace" so it wasn't a case of them not believing me, and I did notice them patrolling my neighborhood more than usual.
I wound up taking care of it myself and getting rid of him, I didn't shoot him, but I got him to leave me alone none the less and now it's all good.
It's been years ago and I haven't seen hide nor hair of him since.
It was an awful and stressful time for me so I know how you must feel.
Try to get through this LP, know you are loved and as Cowboy said, (bad) crazy people usually wind up getting their comeuppance.

Happy Wednesday everyone.
I'm planning a nice and relaxing day today other than doing laundry, but that's a no stress chore, no problema.
I did most of everything I needed to do yesterday early morning, I had to bump up the dusting, mopping, vacuuming etc to yesterday instead of today, Wednesday is my traditional hard core chore day.
My building had an inspection yesterday, we had a bed bug dog come in and sniff all the apts for bed bugs.
I had no worries about my apartment being a bed bug haven but I still wanted everything to be as clean and tidy as possible, wouldn't want the inspector dog to think I'm a slob now would I?

Soooo I'll be at the bean bags loafing with Spidey.... I think I'll have some fancy coffee today.
A hazelnut cappuccino sounds good, with lots of whip... and oh yeah sprinkles, with a virtual butt load of chocolate sprinkles sprinkled promiscuously and with abandon on top, that would be super marvy.

I am off to do some more deep cleaning, been trying to be brutal with what I am throwing out and keeping. Alas, my throw out pile is not nearly as big as my keep pile. The hardest is all the baby stuff, I can't make myself get rid of it, even though we are done having babies and my babies aren't babies anymore. I did pass along our crib to a family member but still have the cradle, and I keep saying it's outta here, then I look at it and remember my babies all sleeping in it, right next to my bed as newborns, and my heart lurches.

This is why my husband should be doing it, and letting me go through his tools! :biggrin2:
