Well, that's the festivities over for another year - thank goodness!

I'd just like to thank everyone for their good wishes for the two Emma's. Emma McGhee is well, although with diabetes which requires 5 injections a day, and thanks you all for your good wishes, but I'm afraid wee Emma Robson was whipped back into hospital just before the new year with 'aggressive' throat cancer and is receiving intensive chemo and will be in hospital for at least 90 days. A member accused me of seeking 'too much sympathy', and if you agree then I apologise, but as a pagan I believe in the positive power of prayer,of good wishes, whatever you want to call it, and I KNOW that your good wishes really helped David and Kareen before.

Cola, I still remember the day Laura got 4 vaccinations at a time; she was so brave until the 4th one, which which just too much for her. Poor little kids!

Our fence will be mended soon. Rain continues but no storms (that I know of).
I heard of tornadoes in the East today! Scary and very early. When I lived in Tornado Alley, we got ours in May; seemed like the sirens would go off every other day. A tornado can put a moored boat in someone's yard miles away; it can drive a straw into a tree. Brrr.

I would like to ask for prayers and good thoughts for my friend Sharon (John already knows--thank you), who was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 months ago & has already had 2 surgeries. I found out in their Christmas letter.:sad:

Just dropped by to wish everyone Happy Wednesday. Gonna be busier than a one legged old lady in a butt kicking contest today.

Cold front came through Houston recently. I was not feeling well yesterday so didn't really bother with the conditions outside my bedroom.

Have brought some cinnamon rolls and bran muffins. Corn bread muffins for lunch.

I don't want to make you envious, but talking about weather, I must say that here in the South of Spain, we have a wonderful sunshine and bright sky. We have 17º C (about 60ºF if I'm not wrong).
But despite this, my feet are cool and so is my nose. I'm very sensitive to cold, so I can't imagine how I would feel in a really cold, snowy place. Anyway, our weather shouldn't be considered nice weather , because we need some rain, and we need it now.

Thanks for the good wishes and thoughts. :love: It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.... I was able to save 116 bucks by begging the court to forgive me. I was totally guilty... I let my tabs expire. I never got my little courtesy reminder, I never checked so I spaced it... so since I begged and didn't have any other offenses lately:blush: they reduced my fine. Man I was scared though... :eek2: LOL You'd have thought I was up on Federal Racketeering charges or something. But it's over now...whew.

Thanks for the moral support and as always mine is offered to all of you in need of a hand to hold.

Anna is my late Grandma's baby sister. The 2 of them were could not have been more opposite.

I think Auntie Anna liked to party a tad when she was younger. Gram, on the other hand, would hunt for Grampa's Crown Royal bottles behind the stereo speakers and such and dump the contents down the kitchen sink..... much to the chagrin of Grampa!

Auntie Anna dressed like a fashion model whenever she visited TO and had a black belt in shopping. Liked Bloody Marys with her Eggs Benni.

Note on grampa. He liked his whiskey, did Grampa Bulloch. He told me it it helped keep his Irish accent strong. I believed him til I was 12... :blush: He never said BOO when she tossed the bottles, but there was a tear in his eye once, I swear!

Thanks for the good wishes and thoughts. :love: It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.... I was able to save 116 bucks by begging the court to forgive me. I was totally guilty... I let my tabs expire. I never got my little courtesy reminder, I never checked so I spaced it... so since I begged and didn't have any other offenses lately:blush: they reduced my fine. Man I was scared though... :eek2: LOL You'd have thought I was up on Federal Racketeering charges or something. But it's over now...whew.

Thanks for the moral support and as always mine is offered to all of you in need of a hand to hold.

Ended up with about 12 inches of powdery snow (not good snowman making snow but great for skiing) at my house--probably a little less in Bangor itself. The roads hadn't been cleaned up very well, though, so the commute this morning was a white-knuckle drive for me. I'm not a comfortable snow driver even after all these years and with studded snow tires on my car. The parking lot at work hadn't been plowed so was the icing on the cake. Yup, going to bookmark www.realtor.com and start playing the lottery again! :smile2:

And such a loving son! I am so glad that he loves school and is happy being there (unlike I was)! Dear Kim and John, when you can please update us on Miss Sharon and sweet wee Emma! And please, my Tet- Mates/my pack, some prayer for my wonderful Mama! Mama is one the sweetest, kindest, HARDWORKING (and prettiest) women there everwas or will be! She is well and holding her own and has been for a good long time now. But she has had leukemia since (diagnosed in)March 2003. She is not out of dire straits by any means. But she is working almost every day. ( She thrives on work! it keeps her up and going!) She has got great responsibilities, and her job is stressful! Be assured my friends you, and yours, are in her thoughts and prayers too! She cares! She has little free time. Usually comes home and collapses and gets rest for the next day! We talk at least once a week. More when we can. And try our best to get together at least once or twice a year! ( Different cities and all) I tell her about my friends! And she is so happy for me that I have you all. Like me and Jax, me and Mama talk about everything! I love you all! We got a bit of snow on the roads this morning, and boy were they icy! The rear of my car fishtailed quite a few times while taking Gaven to school. (I decided to skip class...I'm such a rebel!)
I'm feeling a bit achy...and my throat is a bit sore. So I'm going to curl up on a chair in the corner, drink some hot coffee, and work on Wizard and Glass...already halfway through!

You know what? Yesterday I had a very 'Scottish evening'. I wasn't feeling very well (have a cold) and I spent a couple of hours watching tv. First I watched a National Geographic documentary about the fishermen and the sea storms on the dangerous Scotland coast. And then I watched a Spanish program on travelling and they were in... Scotland again. Beautiful places, indeed.
And then, late in the evening, the same day, I was watching an X-Files episode, and one of the characters was wearing a t-shirt with the words 'Lynyrd Skinnyrd' on it (I'm not sure if I wrote it right...): :smile2::smile2:
