Mr Stephen King,
On march 21 2011, we posted an open letter (http://www.stephenking.com/forums/showthread.php/21203-The-French-open-letter-with-300-signatures-to-Stephen-King?highlight=stephenking999) about you coming in France.
2013 is now coming and the website stephenking999.com (http://www.stephenking.com/forums/redirector.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.stephenking999 .com) and its fans, are still waiting for a confirmation. The french release of « 11/22/63 » in february 2013 seems to be a very convenient moment.
Since many years, you are the writer who takes readers out of theirs day-to-day existences and make them discover many new and differents situations, universes and characters. Page after page, thousands of french writers and millions of europeans escapes from this difficults times and dives into this America, this new land which you how to describe so well.
This coming in France, it is for them, and also for me. I created the website in 1999, wrote many articles in order to share my passion about written stories, to « scream » it to the others and to listen to their « screams ». And I’m glad that internet allows that kind of experience.
So today, we are asking you the possibility to discover the man « flesh and blood » behind the virtual writer. I wish that my children who are discovering Emile Zola and Guy de Maupassant could meet Stephen King.
Finally, you should come see Paris. I’ve never been in Maine, because taking my family there is really expensive. But I live in Paris since forever and I think that this city deserves a long visit. See how Woody Allen just filmed it !
Me and my family, the city of Paris and all France and Europe are waiting for you. Come see us in 2013 !

We have tentatively set aside dates at the beginning of November 2013 for his visit to France and Germany but nothing has been set in stone yet.

I hope it's Paris if he is going to France. I've not been there yet so would squeeze a trip in since there's a few other sites I'd like to see in that city. Will be cold in November, though. Ah well, can't have everything!

Yay! I will visit the Louvre, go to the top of the Eiffel Tower, and best of all...DisneyLand! :biggrin2:
I've been to Charles de Gaulle Airport three times, that's as exciting as my Parisian adventures have been so far.
*I hate that airport! They make nice salmon and cream cheese bagels, though.*

Nope, but that would require removing my tin-foil hat worn to prevent just such security breaches. :p:biggrin2:

How popular is SK in France and Germany? Just curious if this is going to be one of those stand in line all night type of events that occurs in the US? How cool would be for King to show up the night before and sign books for those already standing in line?

Ms Mod,
Any chance we will ever get to see Mr. King grace the Emerald Isle with his presence? Would be so fantastic to see him!

Always a possibility but it's not something that is going to happen in the next year or so.

Have you been spying in the King-Family Picture Album again?
That'll be the last time he invites you over for milk and vanishing girl scout cookies! :glare:

I think he is very popular here in germany but what do I know I am a fan. I do not know if he has ever been here. So we will see.
