Well, I dont know if you all remenber, but in the vol 2, in the beginning, Roland goes to West, and there he finds the sea and the doors, etc ... but suddenly he decides to go north, and that's okay. But just in the next chapter, quoting the book:
"The sea to his right, the mountains to his left, the gray, shell-littered sand under the feet of his cut-down boots."
How can the sea be in his right, if the sea is in the west, and he went north? The sea should be in his left.
If there's some mistakes in my text, I'm sorry, english is not my first language.

No offense and I don't think it has anything to do with English not being your first language, but I don't think our rules of geography apply to Mid World.

Yup! Mid-World has it's own rules. In a later book, when it shows the mono rail map, there is also reference to direction which is incorrect for OUR world.

Plus, that world has moved on, causing all sorts of things to go crazy...:upside:

I see, so because the world moved on, a lot of things changed ... I'm still in the second book, so I just know a few things about the dark tower world. But thanks for the answers,it helped a lot

I think it would be funny if that was just a mistake on King's part, and it somehow got past the editor(s).:biggrin2:

There were a few errors in his writing, but overall I think it makes sense.
Maybe this will help. I made it the other day.

Dear Original Poster,
I had that exact same itch in my brain when I read that section (several times)
I thought "I know I stink at directions, but that ain't right"
Some things you just have to let go and move on. Go with the flow.
Accept the things you cannot change...(oh, wait)
