Follow this link to Addall.com
There are a few signed copies listed at the bottom of the page.
Note of caution, make sure the seller has a good reputation and ask about authentication.
Good luck and happy birthday!

Don't trust a Certificate of Authenticity unless the seller can provide actual proof of how/where the book was signed. We don't issue them and can't tell you how many fakes we've seen that have been sold with a COA.

Tell me about it. Why do you think I want to catch him at a signing and get him to sign mine directly. :(

You could try Betts Books in Bangor- specializing in King books.

Yeah, my wife keeps talking about how if we get to see S.K. again (book signing or some such) it would be great if we ended up going to lunch or dinner with him. I'll just say, "CLICK!" That's the sound of Fantasy Mode turning on. It would be great, though. 'CLICK!'

Betts is an on-line only site now. It's at www.bettsbooks.com (http://www.stephenking.com/forums/www.bettsbooks.com).

I never knew that! Thanks!
I should know that seeing as how it's my business to. Yesterday I wrote a FYI at work sharing this info with my co-workers. They were surprised to know this as well and one of them said that Stephen King is the coolest dude ever, I said ayup I know LOL.
He said that that refusing to COA his autograph doesn't cheapen the sentimental value, which makes having a signed Stephen King all the cooler to have. I agreed.

Every day is indeed a school day!
Thanks again Our Lady of Moderation.

Oh just a side note, somebody once tried to sell us a book that was autographed by Ray Bradberry! :biggrin2:

Interesting choice of words for the thread-starter. Why do you NEED a signed IT?

I like to get books signed, but I only really like signed books where I got it signed by the author. I can't imagine me paying someone a premium for a copy of any book signed by the author.

Nothing against those who do collect signed editions, but I'm intrigued by how little appeal it holds for me.

I totally agree with you. Not saying it wouldn't be cool to have a signed book, but for me the appeal would be in getting it signed in person. I'm not sure I could or would spend more money for a signed book.

I’m happy with our full collection of SK novels… half coming from the SK Book Club. Still, I had always wanted a signed novel of his, but was leery of what is out there because I’ve been told most are forgeries. And the ones that are authentic are sooooo pricey. But back in 2006 I had the opportunity to get a signed copy of “The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon” from The Haven Foundation for only $40. I jumped on the chance to get one guaranteed to be authentic, at a reasonable price, and knowing I helped something dear to SK’s heart. It’s put away now for safe keeping to be given to one of my kids who maintains a fondness for the horror master’s works. My only regret was that I only got one copy.
