Did you guys know the person who played Zelda was a guy? I was looking around on IMBd and found Zelda, so I clicked the actors name and found out he was only in 1 other movie, then looked at the name to see Andrew..I thought..thats an odd name for a girl xD all the while I'm watching the special features and right around the same time they mentioned how Zelda was a boy...I was just curious how many people knew this?

I've never seen the actors name to know it is a guy, but watching the scenes in the movie I could spot this straight off.
Sometimes a gal just knows these thangs! :wink2:

I found that out on Wikipedia. Apparently the story was that they couldn't find a woman that skinny to fit the role, so they just hired a guy.

I'm still traumatized over the fact that Lassie was a boy...

I read it some years ago. That explains the masculine facial features.

I can honestly say I really didn't look that closely at Zelda because I was so creeped out. Zelda is one image that stays with me from that movie!

not surprising...
I agree with the general consensus: Zelda was far too creepy to take time to notice masculine features. Honestly, her visage was asexual in its ghastliness. I think that's what the casters and makeup artists were going for, anyway.

i agree with jellybeanjay, when i saw that movie when i was like 7 or 8, i just cant see it int the dark or by myself. i watched it this morning getting ready for school and, keeping in mind that my mother had passed away about two weeks ago, and given the fact that she died in what is now my bedroom, and how zelda was always locked in that room in the movie, i was so paranoid that i could not even go into my room this morning, i was soo scared. and every now and again, i swear i can hear a voice calling "RACHAEL"!!!!!

I actually did know this, as the last time I watched this movie I looked it up. I was dubbing an old VHS copy to my DVD recorder and I thought I saw an Adam's Apple on ol' Zelda/Zed.

There are several images from the film that are seared into my brain and continue to creep me out. Zelda, of course, and when Gage gets Crandall with the scalpel -- OUCH!

I never knew that but quite interesting. I think I better go back and re-read Pet Semetary and sit down and watch the movie again. WOW,amazing the things you learn here on the board.

Hi !
That's a good one !
I've only seen this movie a few weeks ago and I was still wondering why Victor Pascow looked like a german guy instead of an indian (which made a bit more sense considering the indian cemetery), and now I learn that Zelda's a guy.
That movie is def hilarious :D

Sure did. Only reason why I knew is because for some strange reason I watched the credits.:)

Yup :smile2: a horror actor who had worked with Mary Lambert before. I love Mary Lambert (Madonna vids from the 80's) but PS is not a fave movie of mine, though Fred Gwynne was perfection as Judd....flawless.
