Hello,I've recently been told that SK is one of the finest writers there is so I decided to give his books a try.I read a lot of good about The Dark Tower series,so I thought I would start my journey there :smile2: So I went to the library to get The Gunslinger and the woman who works there suggested me to take a book that is a kinda "The definitive guide to Stephen King's bestselling Dark Tower series" (it says on the back of the book),it looks like this http://snarkerati.com/movie-news/files/2009/05/the-dark-tower.jpg and on the back of the book it says:

Stephen King's The Dark Tower:
A Concordance,Volume 1 and Volume 2
Robin Furth

So my question to you is: What exactly is this book about?I didnt see this one in the list of The Dark Tower series so im pretty much clueless here :|

The Concordance is a reference manual. Originally done in two book, Vol 1 and then Vol 2/ each covers certain books of the Dark Tower series. It is not part of the seven book compiling the series. It is a wonderful source for information about the books. Please do not read until oyu have read the DT books as there are many spoilers within. The concordance is like a summary, with many details, a guide to the worlds of the DT. A definite book to have after reading the series.

Hi,

Welcome to the MB, and keep posting!

AWSS (And What Spidey Said) - exactly!

Do NOT read Robin Furth's excellent Concordances until AFTER you've read the Dark Tower cycle, also recommended (afterwards) is Bev Vincent's 'The Road to the Dark Tower'.

Enjoy your journey (you will!)

Long days and pleasant nights (you'll find out what THAT means too!)
