My husband and I are vacationing in Maine July 3rd-11th. Has anyone went on the Stephen King tour in Bangor, Maine? If so, would you suggest it? I've been on a few message boards (boards primarily for vac) where they suggested to skip the tour. But, being a fan, I find it hard to go all the way to Maine from Missouri and not take the tour. So, I thought maybe some fans of SK could tell me their thoughts and experiences.

I've never taken it so can't comment on how good it is, but you should make sure to check the dates of when they'll be running it as it does not run every day.

Hey Mogwai! I'm in Missouri too! Lucky you. I didn't even know there was an SK tour. I would still take the tour even with the recommendation to skip it. Like you said, you're coming all the way from MO...you HAVE to take the tour. And take lots of pictures for us non-lucky ones please!

They actually have a tour in Maine for SK? Where and what does this tour do or go to?

Please tell me he doesn't have some tour bus driving by his house and letting people out to gawk at his crazy fence.

Steve isn't affiliated with the tour--it is done by the Bangor Chamber of Commerce.

Make sure you stop by Acadia National Park if you're trekking up the coast of Maine. Beautiful place!
