I believe that Mr. Jingles was Del's angel for the following reasons:
1. He was on the mile, looking in the prison cells, waiting for Del to come, long before he did.
2. No one ever saw him pee, and he only pooped in a specific spot in the closet.
3. He told Del things. Like his name and that he wanted a spool. You could argue that this was just Del being weird, but still...
What do you guys think?

...i think Del would probably agree w/you, Jo....i guess it makes sense to speak to strangers, for some have entertained angels unawares....i think that's in the bible, but don't quote me on it...

To me he represented things lost that were sadly yet fondly clung on to, things like freedom, possibilities, close relationships, opportunity, meaning something, a future, hope...whatever.
Lotta weight for a cat toy, but I think he handled it like a pro (hey now, history is full of pro mouses...Micky & Minnie...Mighty....Stuart)!

Not only was he Del's angel-but he brought a special ray of something(call it hope)to most anyone who visited or was incarcerated on the "Mile". His longevity proves not only his blessed soul-but the pure spirit of John Coffey...

Pop Quiz: What was Mr. Jingle's original name? (in the novel) First person to get the answer correctly gets something special! :wink2:
