I just started reading the Stand. It's a good read. But why is it that all of Randall's aliases have the initials RF? Richard Fry? Randall Flagg? There are others I can't recall at the moment. Does RF stand for something that I'm missing? Is there some significance with RF? Or is it just random?
I made the joke to my dad that RF partially stood for Really F___ing Evil. Lol. I thought it was funny. Lol

Walter O'Dim does not nake the initials RF, nor does Marten Broadcloak. Both of these are alter egos of the illustrious Flagg.

do thy homework, should thee call thyself a Flagg-follower :P

I've been wondering the same thing for quite a while and have finally decided RF has to stand for République Française, which - surprise, surprise - counts 19 letters. That must explain the 11/22/1963 book signing in France, and I've got to face the fact that I'm living in an evil country. I would gladly develop but I can't focus with this crow cawing at my window and... hey, wait a sec...

It may or may not be 11/22/63 he'll be promoting when he visits France in 2012--it will depend upon their publication schedule which title will be the most current then.

:rofl:Alexandria- your so funny! Actually there was something mentioned by SK about the RF names. Most are RF but not all! course one coud argue that it might be different on another level of the tower...or another whe/where....theres gonna be a door somewhere even if SK has to draw one in the dirt(circle of stones-lol)

I assumed the RF was just for consistency. Aren't a lot of aliases similar in sound?
The first five times I read the Dark Tower, I was so confused by Marten and Walter and Flagg. I didn't know who was who or who wasn't who.
