From which short story by King is this?
As I recall (only from memory) it was about a couple who ran from a creature who could stop time.
At one time they were at a disqoteque and the time stopped. The creature broke an arm of one of the dancing people and when the time started again the blood were gushing.
I'm not even sure if this story was written by S.K. but I think so.

Boy I recently reread all of the short story collections except different seasons and that just does not ring a bell with me.

Nope, this doesn't ring a bell w/ me either; it's certainly not from Different Seasons.

Sounds like a Harlan Ellison or Richard Matheson short story, but they've both written a ton of 'em.

It sounds like a cool story but I don't think it is Stephen King's.

Hi,

There was an early Dean Koontz novel with a character called Tick-Tock (I thoink) who could do that.

Thanks, it must be Dragon Tears by Koontz. I found this question on Koontz FAQ-page: "I wonder if, when you are writing the grotesque parts -- like the arm being torn off the girl in DRAGON TEARS, et cetera -- do you just type those words freely"
