The other day I thought of the perfect epitaph or anagram I can't remember what they're called, those little excerpts at the beginning of each part of the book.

I think its part 4 or somthing when Mike joins the Losers. This part of the book tends to suggest a closing of a circle and completion. This would be perfect to put in the beginning of that part. It's a Bruce Springsteen song:

"You can't start a fire
You can't start a fire without a spark
This gun's for hire
Even if we're just dancing in the dark"

-Dancing in the Dark

And doesn't Richie mention something to Mike about Bruce toward the end of the novel? Damn I wish King had included this!

SPOILER WARNING Pennywise is from the same galaxy as the leather-head children in Under The Dome. That pictograph symbol on the emitter- wasn't it in the Deadlight's lair- and also on Little Tall Island, and Roanoke island too? P.S. I think that they are called chapter headings... maybe E.Freemantle AKA Beambounder.

Well, it's an interesting idea, and the Interludes were actually my favorite parts of the story, but as someone who once idiolized Bruce Springsteen out of all proportion to reality (even teenage reality), I can tell you that Dancing in the Dark should be buried in a very deep place, locked away under protective runes and completely forgotten.

If I were to be asked (and I have) I would say without a moment's hesitation that Dancing in the Dark is the single most embarassing thing in rock and roll.
