The Giver by Lois Lowry.
Has anyone read it?
If not, you should.
It is not a long read, and it is very thought provoking.
I would love to discuss it if anyone has read it.

I didn't like this book at all, I've read it twice in school and didn't like it either time. Its hard to explain it just never appealed to me.

I have read it and liked it. It is definitely not a feel good book, however it does make you think!

oh my god, I remember that book! I used to love it as a kid. I've read it so many times. (pretty sure I've got a hardcover copy of it somewhere. I should read it again).

It was one of the first really disturbing things I read. I read it twice in one sitting. There's a lot to pick up on, and I didn't quite get it all the first two times around. I think the most disturbing part is when the father murders the baby.. One thing I never liked, though, is the end. It's a bit too foggy for my liking.

There were a couple of crappy sequels, too. But they were crappy.
