Any of you owns that book in their SK library?

I got it in 1985 as a gift . It's by Douglas E. Winter, and it's full of infos about Steve and also good pics of him as a kid and a young man. Interviews are in there and descriptions of his work. Something a SK fan likes to own for sure. I'm glad I have it. :wink2:

It's a fantastic resource which I use often when answering fan questions. I asked Doug several years ago when he was going to write an update but he just smiled and said that wouldn't be happening.

It's an excellent, excellent book. I still refer to it a lot as well.

Ahhh! That's too bad an update won't be written by Doug. But I would welcome another piece of work like this written by somebody else. Like you said, it's a great reference book, and I wonder if it's still in book stores, as I never saw it again. At least not in my area. :umm:

Another good one is The Stephen King Universe by Stanley Wiater, Chris Golden, and Hank Wagner. There was one update several years ago, but I don't think The Art of Darkness is currently in print.
