I had low expectations going into this one, and was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed this sucker! I thought the acting was okay, but it was really carried by the story. And we get a spider scene (I suffer from arachnaphobia but always like seeing the little eight-legged suckers get their due).

Overall, I was very impressed. This is a nice addition to my Stephen King DVD library.

I agree it was a great movie RIS Corey Haim.

I agree. This movie had the potential to be one of those horrendous adaptations, but I loved it. I especially liked how Alan's character was built upon, and I found him to be extremely likable. The only thing that bothers me, though, is how Alan's cut looks different when it first happens and when he's looking at it outside the hospital.

I only just watched this film today and have to admit didn't see the spider bit as I was hiding behind a cushion (extreme fear, usually end up being sick). Anyway I had no idea what to expect but I thoroughly enjoyed the film (not the best but certainly not the worst) and it made me chuckle (was it meant to be funny or was that my weird sense of humour).
