A car like Christine.

What happened earlier this year was my car was vandalized by some punks in the neighborhood after they unsuccesfully tried to steal it. Then, to add insult to injury, the damn police game me two tickets in the same week for a broken windshield. I was very upset, you see.

Like Arnie said, 'There's nothing finer than being behind the wheel of your own car'.
I beleive that. A car is like a favorite leather jacket or some other clothing that you simply are not complete without.

But in fustration of either having my wheels distroyed or taken away by the police, I sold it. Since then my life is like being a shell of person. I am trapped here most of the time and never felt so isolated from freedom.
Cars matter to me, being without one is a nightmare.

I think about Christine (recently because it was on the late night movie-local broadcast-last friday). But in junior high I read the book version. I think the main difference was that Arnie was implied NOT to be the driver at the end, died in a car accident in another car when Christine was smashed, ironically.

But I can identify with Arnie and envy the car he had that could tear up anyone who stood in the way of the driver being with the car. Although, the little creeps who smashed my windshield did so in anonymity...And they are still out there. But I think I have a plan for protecting my next car..

If anyone has a car for sale, please let me know. I am partial to mid-1980s rear wheel drive cars like a Camaro or Caprice because they are cheep and easy to work on. 1970s is good too, my first car was 1978 Firebird. I'm not crazy enough to ask if anyone might sell me a 1968 Roadrunner, but that would make my life completely.
Anyway, it would be great to find one at the price Arnie paid for Christine, which if I remember correctly was $300.
"I thought you said two-fifty!"
"Two-fifty will do. Money's not important."

Yes..A car that seeks revenge on people that vandalize it.

And I miss having my own car so badly, there has to be someone out there, a George LeBay or Darnell, someone with a car for sale. Something I can drive and love.
Please let me know ASAP.

I can understand your plight. When I was a teenager to early 20s, I was without a car, too. I wore out my shoes (literally) walking to where I wanted to go. To say it was a bitch is an understatement.

So, even though I can't help you, I feel for you. You have my sympathy.

Cant help with a ride, but I can identify with the vandalism issue, its happened to me. I find attacking a persons vehicle the most contemptible act of cowardice. I was at wal-mart the other day and this lady cut me off in the parking lot to hurry into a parking space. I looked over as I passed by and she is running a sharp object up and down the length of a pickup truck with her arm out the window. Long (and kinda amusing in its own way) story short I reported her to the owner of the truck when she came out and the police were called and caught the vandal coming out of the store. The victim and criminal had never met.. she was just out getting her jollies at somebody else's expense. Unbelievable. Know the weird thing about it? The vandal was not some dumb teenager but a woman of at least 55 years old!

This request is still in effect. In fact, we are drawing near to the moment. I am still looking and Craigslist is only helpful if you can get to the listing before anyone else. I shall try this 'Pennysaver' you speak of.

I hope this message is reaching Mr. Stephen King...If he couldn't help me find a car I would love for a good price, nobody famous can.
Please let me know. Income tax return season is almost here.
