I just want to thank you Stephen King for The Dark Tower series. I just finished it and loved all 7 books! I started reading the series in December of 08 so it took me a whole year to read them (reading many other books in between) and they have helped me make this year a good one. The Gunslinger was actually the first book I've ever read of yours and after reading all the Dark Tower books I plan on reading many more of your books and enjoying much more of your brilliant writing. Thank you again and congratulations on creating such a great epic! If anybody out there has any suggestions on some good King books I can read next I'd love to hear them. Stephen King youre a badass, Scott

You don't have to thank him, dude. It's business - he made a lot of money from them, believe it or not! :cool2:

As for your next move, don't listen to anything different - it has to be The Stand - and preferably the bigger version since you clearly have no problem with long stories.

Happy reading. :smile2:

I'll second that - read "The Stand" next...then, try "The Talisman"...and keep on reading!

... Then pick up IT, and then check out Insomnia.

I second your motion to say thankya to Mr. King... Even if he made plenty of money on it... It was well deserved, and I was happy to dish it out. I just finished my 2nd journey through, and I loved it even more.

Jeez Drew...even if he did make money and it IS a business, don't you think he likes to hear a "well done"?

There is nothing wrong with thanking King for writing this wonderful series of books that I have been with since Drawing of The Three came out in the stores and that has changed my life. VERY good call 100 Degrees Celsius! Thank you for writing the Dark Tower Series Stephen King. They're my favorite books and my favorite story.

Like others have said, go with The Stand. Also, if you like vampire books read Salem's Lot it has Father Callahan in it so you can find out more about him.

I will always feel Stephen King deserves my thanks; his works have seen me through some of the most unbearable times of my life. And everything I've read about him, including what he himself has said, leads me to believe writing books has never been about "business".

Money means very little to a true artist such as Sai King. Either way, he deserves every penny for colouring our lives with such beautifully written heartfelt tales intertwined with those nightmarish yarns of blackness and death :D

A true artist would do his art even if he is a starving artist. Like he said he just writes down what he sees.
I for one say thakya

I think SK has a unique following, I believe that he feels the same way. Maybe I'm crazy...probably! But, I feel the appreciation for reading his work and I hope that he feels the appreciation for sharing his writing. When he talks or leaves a note or letter to the Constant Reader...in my mind, its for me. When you finish a book and you find a short story or excerpt from an upcoming book...to me that is a gift...of thanks. Like I said...I'm probably Crazy! Anyways....Thank you SK!!!!
