After having played Discordia a bit (and getting frustrated with the game, I'm just not a gamer) I came away wanting to read the Dark Tower series again. I haven't tried to read the series since finishing the last book but they've been waiting patiently on my shelf.
I wanted to pick up book 2, The Drawing of Three, as the story really got going there, but I knew that if I was going to read the series, I had to start at the beginning.
I have a love hate relationship with The Gunglinger, book one. I had tried countless times to read it before succeeding and loving the rest of the series. But for some reason when I picked up the book this time around, it pulled me in from the first phrase: The man in black fled across the desert and the Gunslinger followed..."
Why is it that one of the books I have so much trouble reading is so good this time? Is it because I know what's coming and now I'm able to look for the clues that come?
Either way, I finished it late last night after only two days and started The Drawing of Three this morning. I can't wait to get to Blaine in The Wastelands!
Cheers,
Jamieson
