I'm not too sure I get why the title of the short story is this. I know Anne gets an automated call at the end offering her "The New York Times at Special Bargain Rates", but I don't understand what the significance of this is. Hope you can all help me out here since I'm probably the only one that doesn't understand it. :blush: :laugh:

It continues the 'Autumn in New York' song joke theme from Things They Left Behind of August in New York. Then there was the atom (bomb) in New York in Graduation. Finally this is Adam in New York--(don't tell me how I know this, I just do). No, jk. The voice was in her head in an idea of the New York Times ad? All I can say is that I was so entranced by the story that I had forgotten the title by page two and remembered to remember it at the end
