You put your left gunslinger boot in,
You put your left gunslinger boot out,
You put your left gunslinger boot in,
And you shake it all about....?
Which reminds me....
With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the present time, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person which almost went unnoticed .Larry La Prise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in,and thats when all the trouble started.....

Yup.

Stephen King does.
He invented it, as a matter of fact, and I think Ms Mod has mentioned before that she has a pic somewhere of the two of them dancing it together. :wink2:

Maybe I'm just a sick bugger, but I always imagined it looking a lot like "Riverdance"...

I have always imagined it in my head to be like all the traditional folks dances from around the world, lots of foot banging and leg waving and generally having a good time while listening to the music =)

Or the 'dance' in Platoon, albeit without the M16... :biggrin2:

I always picture the dance being similar to the Irish folk dancers.

I think it is pretty much like a jig.

I kind of think of it as an Irish jig. You know - hands not moving, just the legs hopping and kicking.

This might be lame, but does anyone remember the scene from the movie Titanic where Kate & Jack go to the 3rd class part of the ship & are dancing with everyone?

That's what I pictured...pretty much just Irish folk dancing...something similar to that scene...

I did a two/three part harmony guitar thingy after reading that part. If anyone wants the short clip, PM me. I'd call it Celtic-Baroque.

Why don't you post a link to the clip if there is one?
And call it Gopher-Baroque!

I thought it was rather Morris-Dance-ish, myself. (I could be wrong ... :)
