Not that I'm a stickler for this kind of thing, but I'm 275 pages into UTD, and I've come across a couple of jarring incosistencies. First, on page 125, Horace the dog is referred to as Hector, but he goes back to being Horace later. Second, Dale Barbara's former rank is give as Captain on page 124, but later he and others refer to his former rank as Lieutenant. Just enough to jolt me out of the book. I hope future printings will pick these things up.

We know. There are quite a few in there that did get picked up but not in time for the first printings. Even with many different sets of eyes looking at the manuscript, each of us missed things. A lot more got caught than got through, though.

Not sure if this has been pointed out already.
On pg. 454, in the part about the Not Lindsay rug (which I thought was a great story btw) Senator Lindsay Graham's name isn't spelled correctly. It's supposed to be Lindsey not Lindsay (not sure why I even know this but I thought I'd point it out :))

Isn't Hector the Spanish version of Horace?

In all honesty, I noticed some errors as well, but if you're really into the story, it really shouldn't make you dwell on those things.
I've always thought it odd when people point those things out. It's not necessarily anyone's fault. Those things happen. Just be glad you got to lay eyes on the beauty that is Stephen King.

No, the spanish version of Horace is Horacio. Hector is the spanish version of Hector. There was a scene in one of J A Jance's novels where an incidental character, an orderly in a hospital, was introduced as Hector, then his name changed to something else that started with H... then on his third page (of 3) it changed back to Hector.
We all float down here.
