Hi rebelbiker, I loved Duma Key, very good story IMO.
I don't understand what you mean by the last part of your post though, would you care to expand so we can try and understand a little clearer. Thanks. :)

I thought Duma was a great book- as good as some of the early stuff. I think what rebelbiker means, and I agree, is that King often leaves a few loose ends to his stories. I like it becasue it gives the reader a chance to wonder about what might happen to characters down the road.

Xcellent point...that's why I was somewhat dissapointed that SK left out Nick (fr/ The Langoliers) in his last handful of Dark Tower books. Given, they were still good to awesome. It's just that he would have made a perfect guy to bring back (to The Borderlands,etc.).

I ordered it this week-end from my book club, and I can't wait to read it. I see it's mixed impressions about this book, but I think I might like it a lot for what I have seen so far. :smile2:

Loved it, Dumas and Lisey are the best of his later works so far.

I really think SK still has his best work in him, and Dumas kind of proved it, for me at least. One of his coolest, most stylish novels.

I'll be finishing up Under The Dome soon. Which should I start next - Lisey's Story or Duma Key? (These are the only two remaining SK works I have not yet read)

I had to come back to say, that I simply love that book. I spent sometime in that part of Florida 2 years ago, where the story itakes place, and Steve describes it so well. But boy, the book is heavy. I have to stop to make my wrist rest from time to time. :wink2:

Christiane - you should get a Kindle. The books wouldn't be nearly so heavy :smile2:

Actually, that's the main reason why I got mine. Now I can't live without it.

the way i figure it ....something happens in your life and then its over - your life doesnt end does it? so why end a story totally unless everyone dies??

That's a fantastic idea!! As I read mostly in bed, it should be very useful. Thanks. :smile2:
