Did they really speak or only Edgar thought they did?
I mean... was it his fantasy/soul or maybe Perse herself? Was their any magic in it? Or it was like when we want to hear something and we start to hear words in the whisper of the wind..
What do you think?

I don't believe they spoke at all -- nor was Perse, magic, or fantasy involved. The way I pictured it, the shells were just rolling over each other and Edgar, in his own way, just interpreted the sound as dialogue. If I'm wrong, I may have to read it all over, 'cuz that changes a lot. Lol. :eek2:
