Stephen is churning out stories like crazy recently, not to mention poems and other such things. He hasn't been this active at writing and publishing stories since the '70s!
Stephen, if you're reading this I have a perfect title for the book: Premium Harmony, after your story in The New Yorker. It should be called this because it will be a harmony, or blend, of stories, poems, and essays. List below:
Cone Head (essay from The New Yorker)
The Old Dude's Ticker
Throttle
Morality (Esquire)
Mostly Old Men (Tin House)
The Bone Church (Playboy)
Premium Harmony (The New Yorker)
What's Scary (Fangoria; upcoming)
Already this sounds like the best collection yet, but you can also add some older stories and poems that have yet to be collected.
Harrison State Park '68 (poem; always curious about this one)
The Dark Man (same as above)
The Blue Air Compressor (Heavy Metal; 1981)
For the Bird's (1986)
Dino (poem; 1994)
and many more....
