170 pages away from the end of this book, and just wanted to pose the question: is either the crimson king or mordred 'IT'? just wondering, considering the whole evil spider thing, etc.

I believe there is an implied relationship but the Crimson King is way bigger than IT.

I would disagree with you here. It is the other way around. It is so massive that it has no need or interest in domination or topping reality. The beings and worlds just are and it feeds from them. It is a dark God of sorts.
