Questions for King

I have been given an assignment in my theories of rhetoric class of doing a rhetorical criticism of any existing piece of work. Being the glutton for punishment that I am, I elected to do my work on The Dark Tower series. I think I've bitten off more than I can chew. I mean, we're not supposed to go over 9 pages here.

So, here's my question....I'm searching madly for anything in which Stephen King describes his view of his audience. Part of may have been fiction, but his journal entries at the end of Book 6 really help give perspective on what he feels of his fans, haha.
