These were two of my favourite stories in the collection. I loved in Morning Delivery that happy tone of how everything is just right and so happy and perfect while Spike leaves behind his suprises for his customers, its one of the funniest things I'd ever read. Plus Big Wheels as a follow on changed the tone but christ it was a great ending. I would have loved to have read thid failed novel they both adapted from The Milkman, if just a draft if it was available. How did everyone else find these stories?

Loved them. In fact I tried to write a story as an homage to them once. It never took full shape, but I've still got it in my mind. One day perhaps I'll finish it.

Very evocative, disturbing "stories"; if there's more of that novel that got written, I'd love to read it someday.

As I understand it, these two stories are the remnants of a novel SK never finished. Milkman #2 is a classic laugher, although I never quite understood what was supposed to have happened in the end...

Very good stories. MM2 was more interesting to me though. It shows you how much you lose track of old friends and what they have been up to over the years. Like killing people.

Hm, didn't know the tidbit about the failed novel. Glad he salvaged the stories, they are among my very favorite shorts.

I like the first on best personally. I'm confused as to what happened in the end too...I'm not sure that I made all the connections where I should have.
