Seriously. Loved the book. I got so wrapped up in the story I couldn't read anything else til it was done. Loved the characters, loved the story, loved Tom Cullen and Nick Andros.
I emerged from my final sitting reading the book with a headache, eyestrain, but a cheer of victory as I held the book in the air. My family cheered. "You finished! Woohoo!"

Hell yeah, my favorite book of all time, nothing else comes even close to touching me like that one did.

I have not finished it, and i am so sorry i did not read it sooner!!! I saw the movie and my faves are Tom and Nick as well, they are the strongest characters. I'm almost done with the dark tower as well, loove the similarities!!!

I have just finished reading The Stand and I also thought it was a great book overall, SK did a great job building up the story and really connecting the reader with the characters. There were also suspensful moments (like the Lincoln Tunnel) that really kept me turning the pages. My favorite character was Larry, I thought he really grew as a person throughout the story and accepted the role of a leader and thrived after a lifetime of being a taker. I also liked the ending, it seems as if Flagg always seems to get himself out of all sorts of compromising events
I think im going to dive into Duma Key next, but The Stand will be put back on my shelf for a re read sometime in the future.
