without revealing anything to me, please can someone reassure me that there will be a resolution to the fact that jake seems to have been born around 1965 and hails from NY but in 'insomnia' he's from maine in the '90s! i'm assuming there will be some resolution to this, as 'insomnia' was written halfway through the series, but i wanted to check...unless i missed something and 'insomnia' was set in the past! perhaps i'm just getting ahead of myself though, not having finished this series yet?

yeah...but that wouldn't be a decent resolution for me.

I'm pretty sure Jake isn't a character in Insomnia...
Maybe you read something wrong.

Dear Constant Reader -"There are Other Worlds Out There" is really the answer to your question, not just some vague resolution like saying "Such is Life", but since you've asked us not to give you any spoilers, that's about as specific as we can be...

what's the name of the little boy the whole book of 'insomnia' revolves around in the end? they have to stop the explosion of a building with this boy inside because the boy is a vital piece to the dark tower, so says the book, and i swear the boy's name was jake. someone please correct or confirm this for me?

No, it's Patrick Danville. That's would explain why you mentioned Jake, though. It's been a while since I'd read the book and I was thinking I'd completely forgotten a character. :smile2:
