There are so many clues when Roland finally catches up with the Man in Black. Just went through it again and wanted to share.

page 290. "Yet suppose further. Suppose that all worlds, all universes , met in a single nexus, a single pylon, a Tower. And within it, a stairway, perhaps rising to the Godhead itself. Would you dare climb to the top, gunslinger? Could it be somewhere above all of endless reality, there exists a Room?...
"You dare not."
And in the gunslinger's mind, those words echoed. You dare not.

Is Walter pulling a Brer Rabbit? "Oh please don't throw me into the brier patch! Anywhere but there!"
When in fact that's exactly where Brer Rabbit wants to go because he get away from the fox and the bear.

"Oh gunslinger, you'd never make it all the way to the top of the Tar-baby Tower. You dare not even try"
"Oh yeah! I'll show you!" And he trudges along, again. Only to be shat back out into the desert.

Insomnia
[spoiler] The end talks of Patrick Danville and how he dies saving two men. [spoiler/]

Black House
[spoiler] Parkus says at the end that Jack Sawyer may have some part to play in the quest for the tower. [spoiler/]

[spoiler] Are the two men Roland and Jack? Destined to meet, although there was a may so possibly not, in the forthcoming Dark Tower/Talisman 3.

The rest of the quote from Insomnia says that one of the two men "must live". I think that's Jack.

Insomnia, Jack's twinner is Jason, who's very much treated as a Jesus figure. Who knows, maybe Jesus was the X-twinner of them in a different "world". Or perhaps Jack/Jason are the second coming? Either way, back to the quote from the Gunslinger from my first post, Walter speculates about a Godhead being at the top of the Tower.

Ok, so, if Jack = Jesus, could Phil Sawyer be at the top of the Dark Tower? lol, j/k

I would like to hear more about Phil. I'll have to check out the new comics.
Ramble on
[spoiler/]
