Amazing, huh? The people establish a gang-like government, lay out the boundaries of the gang's turf, then act shocked when the gang protects its turf and demands tribute, backed by threat of force.

The Law of Unintended Consequences strikes, again. Naturally, all of this was accomplished 'for the children'.

This has got to be the silliest expression of law enforcement I have heard to date. The bus stop is outside her house, she is providing shelter while the kids wait for the bus; they would be out in all sorts of weather and exposed to all predators human or otherwise. Oh, for pete' sake, give me a break. *she throws her hands up in the air in frustration*

Seems to me they were more upset about losing a licensing fee for a daycare than they were about the welfare of the children. And what's up with the neighbor turning her in for being a good Samaritan?

that was my main question too. someone actually turned the woman in. i'd find out why that person dislikes me so much.

I saw that and wondered who turned her in, too. Unless the kids were crazy loud in the morning, which I can't imagine since they said the kids were INSIDE the lady's home, I just don't get it.

I would rather know the kids were safe at a neighbor's house than worry about all those kids being alone at home and on the way to the bus stop. Yeah, kids do it all the time and they're fine, but that's also when they get into trouble, get hit by cars, and get snatched by pedophiles. Why take the risk if you don't have to?

I'm glad they got this sorted out, and I hope the neighbor who turned her in feels like a world class turd.
