Will reading The Cannibals spoil Under the Dome in any way?

I know that Dome isn't released yet, but it was based on The Cannibals, and I would hate to have ANYTHING spoiled come November. Whether it is a character, theme, or setting.

Anyone know just how similar these novels are going to be before I dig into the Cannibals?

The characters are not the same but the theme of being trapped is.

Thanks, Mod. I decided to give it a read(up to page 30). I have my fingers crossed that UTD isn't just a rehash of Cannibals in a different setting and time. Honestly, I don't think the King would leak this if it would take anything away from his new novel anyway.
