I just finished reading Rose Madder, and it was one of the best books I have ever read!

Was anyone else dissapointed with Bill Steiner's role that he played toward the end?

What was the most frightening part for you?

One of my favorites. Its nice to see a woman overcome he abusive relationship and really come out of her shell and flourish. Delores Claiborne is that kind of woman as well. Maybe a little more bada** though. The most frightening part for me believe it or not was when she was punched in the stomach and the blood was running down her legs and she knew she just lost the baby. That got to me, for the rest of the book I thought of that scene. And the guy had his cop buddies to look the other way. Very scary, because its reality for some women.

I agree Jack, Bill seemed to kinda wuss out towards the end, but I think maybe Rose needed a man like that after Norman. He was a much more sensitive guy. I think the scariest part was Norman's insanity. To think guys like him really exist is disturbing. Also the woman in the pictures face was creepy. On a lighter note, my favorite part was when Rose's friend (I can't remember her name) the big girl, peed on Norman. HAHA!! He got what he deserved!! :grinning:
