Has anyone ever noticed how the Dark Man in the book resonates with that old song

"The Man he put his boots on.
He took a face from the ancient gallery and he
Walked on down the hall"

and the repreated refrain

"The West is the Best"

This may not be plagiarism in the legal sense but you get the feeling this may have playing on King's stereo as he was typing at his keyboard

I don't why that would ever be plagiarism, but yeah I can see him taking inspiration from that song as he was writing it. He said he listens to music as he writes his stories and he prefers metal but metal wasn't around at the time but The Doors were. Yeah I can see him coming up with an idea based from that song. It is perfectly logical.
