Should Stephen King Make "The Cannibals" into a short story?

I think King should make "The Cannibals" into a short story for his next compilation. I have read the sixty-one-page excerpt and think it would make a good short story or memento.

It's already novel-length in the manuscript so it would be more likely he'd edit it as a novel than short story if he decided to publish it.

i hope sk does this--novel. pulaski is such a refreshing character. i haven't met anyone quite like him in sk's stuff. dunno if he's the "hero" of the story or anything, but i want to read more about him, see how he does stuff. the other characters, as well. :y:

I have been avoiding The Cannibals like the plague. I'm afraid it will be a spoiler for Under the Dome. Am I correct?
