This thread disappeared, and I'd like to start it back up, if there's any interest.
I got my crock pot going at 7:30 a.m., filled with Tomato and Lentil Stew. We'll have that tonight (as we watch Hell's Kitchen) with a green salad and bread & butter.
What are you having?

Well ... I don't know. The pantry's getting pretty low. I'd love to have Guinness beef stew with champ and soda bread again, but that's a bit time-intensive for a weekday.
I think maybe turkey burgers and roasted veggies.

Talking about food make me hungry. I think I eat a bread and drink some chocolate before I went to sleep.

Umm...I love food!! I want to marry a chef, or at least a decent cook who can feed me enough without making me fat.
Anyhow, I made a chilli pasta bake. My mother is not too well at the moment which means I get to prepare big meals for the family...heaven, but boy it was HOT!
I am a good cook, big headed but true.:cool2:

Thought about risotto con funghi porcini, vino bianco e parmigiano, which is risotto, italian style cooked rice, with porcini mushrooms , white wine and parmesan. always fall on this one when i m not inspired and given that they smash into my car, today i m not inspired! Still, the risotto is such comfort food that it ll take away the pain... a little!

The lentil and tomato stew was a flop. Ick.
Tonight I'm thinking something reliable and good - maybe orange chicken served over jasmine rice and steamed broccoli.

We are having barbecued chicken--yes, I'm the barbecuer. I'll pick zucchini from my garden and slice it up, sprinkle it with salt and pepper and olive oil and grill that too. It's yummy. Probably slice some fresh tomatoes and cukes.
Later, I will be foraging for something else.

Slapping a big top sirlion on the barby....big as a hubcap. The tomatoes are huge and are as red and dark as arterial blood. First time for this garden. The flavor explodes on the tongue. I may quickly grill some with a lil oil, garlic and a sprinkle of parmeasan cheese. Roasting Taber corn...the best corn in Canada...from Taber Alberta.

We absolutely love okra! Is that all you do, onions, garlic okra and what? a little bit of olive oil perhaps, salt, pepper?

Had homemade chicken sagwala tonight followed by homemade apple and blackberry crumble. Got some apples from next doors tree and went to pick the berries with my little great nephew. Its almost like living of the land. We are all feeling very overfed.
